K9 Cribs, Invercargill K9 Cribs Animal Boarding. Boarding Kennels. Doggy day care. K9 Cribs animal boarding provides boarding for a variety of animals.

A major focus of K9 Cribs is dog boarding and day care which allows dogs to socialise together in a supervised enviornment. Boarding dogs are socialised as well, so their days are full and they enjoy their boarding experience
K9 Cribs has an indoor cattery that is able to cater for a maximum of 12 cats. Social cats are able to free range in the cattery.

* Canine cough is still in the community.

* If your dog is coughing do not bring them in for daycare or boarding.

* Dogs must be five days clear from symptoms before they can return to daycare.

CANINE COUGH
Canine cough is currently in our community.
What is it:
A highly contagious respiratory infection in dogs causing a harsh, dry cough.

Canine cough vaccine:
Available for Bordetella, parainfluenza, and other pathogens, which help reduce severity even if they don’t prevent all strains.

Incubation period: 2 to 14 days after exposure.

Symptoms:
Harsh, hacking cough. Retching, gagging. Nasal discharge or sneezing. Lethargy, reduced appetite. Symptoms often worsen with exercise or excitement.

Treatment:
Will usually resolve on its own in 1 to 3 weeks.
Rest
Medication. Vets may prescribe antibiotics or cough suppressants, particularly in young or old dogs.
Hygiene: Clean food and water bowls regularly. Wash toys.

Dogs can return to daycare after five days with no symptoms.

K9 Cribs advises our customers that there will be road works on Findlay Road beginning Monday 16 February. The road is being resealed. You will still be able to access K9 Cribs. We have been told that work will start at the Mill Road end of Findlay Road. There may be delays of up to ten minutes with lights in place to control traffic. Thank you for your patients and understanding.
