🐴 Introducing our VetSouth Sponsored Rider for 2026/27 — Sonja Swale and Gusto Dracaena (Cracker)

We are delighted to announce Sonja Swale and her 14-year-old Warmblood mare, Gusto Dracaena (Cracker), as our VetSouth EquiFit Sponsored Rider for the 2026/27 season.

Sonja and Cracker will be stepping up to Medium Tour/Level 8 dressage, with the goal of progressing towards Grand Prix, alongside competing at Novice Working Equitation on the Southland circuit.

Sonja’s application demonstrated a strong commitment to quality horsemanship, welfare and sportsmanship. Her approach is centred on developing strength, confidence and harmony, while progressing at a pace that is right for the horse. Her philosophy of putting the horse’s long-term health, soundness and wellbeing at the centre of her training strongly reflects VetSouth’s Here for Good values and our commitment to Happy Healthy Animals.

We look forward to supporting Sonja and Cracker throughout the coming season and following their progress as they take on these exciting new challenges. Sonja and Cracker will be part of our new EquiFit Equine Wellness Plan this season.
