DOG MODELS WANTED

Help train the next generation of professional dog groomers.

At Angels Grooming Academy, our students learn hands-on in real salon environments under the supervision of our Certified Master Groomers. To help them develop their skills, we're looking for dog models to join our training programme.

In return, you'll receive a heavily discounted groom while helping a student gain valuable real-world experience.

We're looking for:

🐾 Dogs aged between 1 and 10 years

🐾 All breeds and sizes welcome

🐾 Friendly, well-socialised dogs

🐾 Dogs that are comfortable being handled and groomed

🐾 Dogs in good health

How it works:

✂️ Drop off: 8:30am

✂️ Pick up: 2:30pm

✂️ Your dog will enjoy regular comfort breaks throughout the day

✂️ Lunch-time walks and toilet breaks are included

✂️ Student appointments take longer than standard grooming appointments

✂️ All grooming is supervised by our Certified Master Groomers

✂️ Grooming styles may vary depending on training requirements

✂️ Severely matted dogs may not be suitable

✂️ Aggressive or highly reactive dogs cannot be accepted into the programme

A dog's hair follicle can grow up to 15 hairs from a single follicle.

Humans usually grow just one hair from each follicle, but many dog breeds have what's known as a compound follicle, where multiple hairs grow from the same opening in the skin.

Each hair has a purpose. Some help keep your dog warm, some help repel dirt and water, and others help protect the skin from the environment.

It's one of the reasons some dogs have such wonderfully thick, fluffy coats.

The next time you're brushing your dog and wondering where all that hair came from, remember... one follicle could be producing an entire little team of hairs.

No wonder groomers find hair everywhere. 😆🐾

Some bounce in full of confidence. Some need a little extra reassurance. Some take a few visits before they realise this place isn't so scary after all.

Breed of the Week: Pomeranian

Tiny dog. Huge personality.

Pomeranians may be small enough to fit in your lap, but don't tell them that. These fluffy little characters are confident, clever, and often convinced they're much bigger than they really are.

Originally descended from larger sled dogs, Pomeranians are known for their fox-like faces, beautiful coats, and their talent for being the centre of attention wherever they go.

Fun fact: A Pomeranian's fluffy coat can make them look twice their actual size. It's basically nature's way of giving them extra confidence.
