💛 HAPPY FRIDAY FROM ANGELS GROOMING! 💛

What a lovely week it’s been. So many happy faces, wagging tails, cuddles, kisses and gorgeous fresh grooms coming through our doors. 🐾✨

Weeks like this are a really nice reminder of why we love what we do so much. Every dog is different, every visit is different, and getting to know them, care for them and help them leave looking, feeling and smelling their best is pretty special.

So as we head into the weekend, we’re just sending a little bit of love your way. 💛

We hope you get some time to slow down, enjoy your dogs, get outside if the weather behaves, and do something that makes you smile.

Thank you to everyone who trusted us with their dogs this week. We never take that for granted.

Say hello to Ardie, Rabbit, Nyx, Possum and Juno — five gorgeous visitors who have been keeping us smiling at Angels Grooming Howick. 💛

Different breeds, different coats, different personalities… and that’s exactly what we love about our days in the salon. Every dog gets individual care, plenty of attention and a groom suited to them.

There’s something pretty special about seeing them head home fresh, tidy and looking, feeling and smelling their best. ✨

🐾 BREED OF THE WEEK — AFGHAN HOUND 🐾

Elegant, glamorous and impossible to miss, the Afghan Hound is one of the most distinctive dog breeds in the world. ✨

Originally developed in the mountainous regions of Afghanistan and surrounding areas, Afghan Hounds were bred as fast, athletic hunting dogs capable of working over difficult terrain. Their long legs, powerful build and incredible speed are a reminder that underneath all that beautiful coat is a serious athlete.

And then, of course, there’s that coat. 😍

The Afghan Hound’s long, silky coat is one of the breed’s most recognisable features, but keeping it looking beautiful takes commitment. Regular bathing, careful drying and thorough brushing are important to help prevent tangles and matting. Their coat can also pick up an impressive collection of leaves, grass and anything else they happen to walk past! 😂

Afghans are often described as independent, dignified and sometimes a little aloof, particularly with strangers, but they can also be wonderfully affectionate, playful and downright silly with the people they know well. They’re intelligent dogs too — although their independent nature means they don’t always see the point in doing something simply because we asked!

One of the loveliest things about the breed is the contrast between their incredibly regal appearance and the goofy personality that can appear when they’re relaxed at home. 👑🐶

Proper coat care from an early age can make a huge difference, helping an Afghan become comfortable with bathing, brushing, drying and handling throughout their life.

At Angels Grooming, we love learning about the history, purpose and coat needs behind every breed we groom — because understanding the dog underneath the hairstyle matters just as much as creating a beautiful finish. 💛

🌸🐾 MEET PIPE! 🐾🌸

Pipe came in for a little pampering at Angels Grooming Howick, and just look at that gorgeous transformation. 😍

From the very soggy little face in the bath to that beautifully neat finish afterwards, Pipe was an absolute sweetheart to have in the salon. And clearly very happy to sneak in a cuddle with the groomer too. 💛

These are the moments we love — getting to know each dog, helping them feel comfortable, and sending them home looking, feeling and smelling their best. ✨

🐾 MEET COOKIE — AND YES, COOKIE REALLY IS THIS FLOOFY! 😍

Some dogs walk into the salon and instantly make everyone smile… and Cookie was definitely one of them.

That magnificent Chow Chow coat, that gorgeous face, and all that fluff made Cookie such a lovely dog to have in for a pamper. 🥰

At Angels Grooming Parlour, we love getting to know the dogs who come through our doors and helping them leave looking, feeling and smelling their best. Every coat is different, every dog is different, and that’s part of what makes grooming so rewarding.

🐾 DOUBLE THE CHARM — MAISIE & PEPPER! 🐾

Maisie and Pepper were absolute stars during their visit to Angels Grooming Howick. ✨ Both were beautifully behaved throughout their grooms and were such a pleasure for our groomers to work with.

This visit gave us the chance to transform them into a more breed-styled look, bringing out those lovely breed characteristics while still keeping everything neat, practical and beautifully finished. ✂️🐶

We had so much fun creating their fresh new looks — and just look at them! 😍
