With foaling season suddenly upon us this week, and some mucky weather on the way, it’s probably time to get the stable setup finished!

I absolutely LOVE these heavy-duty stable mats from Michelle at stable88_ / Stable88 They’re so tidy and easy to install… but the best part is that they’re porous, so they drain and stay dry overnight - no wet, manky bedding sitting on the floor, just a quick muck-out in the morning and you’re done👌

They’re also heavy enough to go straight onto a properly levelled base (in our case, pumice), so there’s no need for an expensive concrete pad. Pretty handy when you’re working on a few different projects and a budget!

10/10 - wouldn’t use anything else 💯

Yikes - that was a rough start to Saturday morning. Looks like the epicentre was literally right underneath us on the Neighbours farm.

So appreciate all your messages of concern. Been an anxious few hours waiting for enough light to check the stock, but first observations suggest all our furry family are okay, and just a few landslides to deal with when it stops raining. Hope everybody else is staying safe out there!

Our young stallion, Quintiago WD, had a visit from Kyrie at Ride with WOW - Kyrie Gausden this week! 🤩

It’s been niggling at me for a while that we could be doing better for him with his saddle fit, so when Kyrie offered to show us what a WOW saddle could do, we were definitely keen.

Quin was an instant fan. He felt softer, freer through his body, and much more comfortable in his movement - It’s incredible how much difference a well-fitted saddle can make!

The technology behind the WOW saddles is seriously clever, allowing the fit to be adjusted as horses develop and change. As a young stallion with plenty of developing still to do, that’s a huge advantage.

We’re excited to see how Quintiago continues to develop in a WOW saddle. A huge thank you to Kyrie for taking the time to find the perfect fit for him! 🫶

🎓 Another graduate - Jet 🤩🖤🫶

This little jet pack has a seriously big engine, and it’s been a pleasure helping him develop his confidence and education under saddle. With his expressive movement and willing attitude, we think he has a very exciting future ahead in the dressage arena.

🎓 Graduation day for Elbi! 🐴

It’s been great having this lovely girl with us to start her journey under saddle, and even better seeing her human Megan back in the saddle enjoying their first ride together out around the farm.

Thanks for trusting us with Elbi’s education. We can’t wait to see what you both get up to together! 🤩

While the weather is so wet, we’ve been running the boys out on the big hills so they have a bit more space and less mud! Means we play this little game when I go out to find them… soon as they spot me, they race me back home. As the mud gets deeper, they can certainly catch me pretty quick on the bike…. But I love how enthusiastically they come into work every day!! 🥰

We loved hosting Tania and Olivia for their own little private clinic and riding retreat here at the farm!

The girls stayed on-site with their horses, enjoyed horsemanship lessons, and spent time riding out over the farm where they could build confidence, put their new skills into practice, and simply enjoy time with their horses in a relaxed environment.

So lovely to see their partnership and confidence growing over the weekend! See you guys next time 🤩🐴

Jools was an incredible horsewoman and an inspiration to many ❤️‍🩹 a true legend!

It is with deep sorrow and unimaginable grief, we announce the passing of Jools our beloved sister and daughter. Today we have lost a true warrior woman. Jools was wise, courageous, generous, inspiring and funny. We will miss her forever.
