🐾 5–11th September Pet Trip Update 🐾

OMG… THE WIND! 💨😂
And just when you think it’s easing… nope, MORE WIND!

We’re officially 3 days into the trip, although our small unit decided to get a head start and hit the road a day early. 🚐🐾

And can we just take a moment for these two little superstars? 🐱🐱❤️

They’re on their way to their new home and apparently nobody told them travelling was supposed to be stressful. 😂

Not used to dogs? 🐶
Birds screaming their heads off nearby? 🐦📢
Busy meet point with people and pets everywhere?

These two: “Cool… we’ll just sit here, have a bath and accept cuddles.” 😂😂

We often get asked, “Don’t cats and kittens get really stressed travelling?”

Some definitely need a little extra time and reassurance to settle in, but you’d be surprised how quickly the majority make themselves at home.

Within an hour, many are out of their cubbies, sitting proudly on top like they own the place 👑, playing, watching all the action or demanding attention every time we walk past.

These two have definitely decided the pet unit is acceptable accommodation. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Next stop… NEW HOME! 🏡❤️🐾

Now, if someone could just turn the wind machine OFF, that would be great! 💨😂

🚌🐾 A4DIBBLE PET TRANSPORT BUS 🐾🚌

Someone keeps suggesting that A4dibble Pet Transport needs a BUS… and apparently they’ve finally got us thinking! 😂

So, we’ve been doing a little investigating behind the scenes. We’ve spoken with a bus builder and started looking at how we could build a bus too be a safe, comfortable and easily sanitised environment specifically designed for transporting pets.

And let’s just say… there are plenty of great ideas being thrown around! 👀🐶🐱

It could mean more space, a purpose-built layout and, most importantly, the same focus on animal welfare, cleanliness and safety that we have with our current units.

So now we want to hear from you…

The units have had their end-of-month maintenance completed and have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitised — all fresh, ready and waiting to roll! ✨

🐾 15–21st August Pet Trip Recap 🚐

What a trip! 😂 We were completely full in both directions and certainly kept busy from start to finish.

This trip had a little bit of everything — plenty of mice and rats, a huge range of hunting dogs, and even one HUMONGOUS boar 🐗. He was a fair bit bigger than his purchaser was expecting… we estimated him at at least 600kg! Safe to say, he required the big boy transport arrangements. 😂

One of the stars of the trip was an extremely well-mannered young buck 🐐 who was crate trained. Yes, you read that right! After each bottle — and a few times in between — he came out for a walk alongside the dogs. He certainly fitted right in!

❤️ We also had over 50 rescue pups and dogs travelling with us this trip, heading off to the next chapter of their lives. We wish every single one of them all the very best on their new journeys.

The weather was kind to us overall, with only a few minor interruptions. We had a delayed ferry heading south and another small delay heading north, but nothing we couldn’t work around.

Then, because apparently the trip hadn’t been entertaining enough already, the last day gave us a blown wheel bearing. 🤦‍♀️

Thankfully, having a tri-axle setup gives us options when things don’t quite go to plan. We converted it to run as a twin axle and made the journey home safely on 4 wheels instead of the usual 6. Not quite how we planned to finish the trip, but we got there!

A massive thank you to everyone who trusted us with their animals this trip. From the tiniest mice to a 600kg boar, it’s certainly never boring around here! 🐭🐶🐐🐗❤️

15–21st August — DONE AND DUSTED!
Now it’s time to clean, sanitise, repair, reset… and get ready to do it all again. 🚐🐾
