🐾 Behind every paw, there’s a person who cares 🐾

Veterinary life is full of love, little victories, difficult days and moments that stay with us long after our shift ends.

We spend our days caring for our patients, comforting worried owners and supporting one another through the highs and lows. But sometimes, we get so caught up looking after everyone else that we forget to look after ourselves, too 💙

This Month is Mental Health Awareness, we want to remind our veterinary community that it’s okay to not be okay. ♥️ Asking for help is a strength, taking a break is important, and checking in on your workmates can mean more than you realise.

Behind every veterinary nurse, vet and support team member is a person who deserves the same care and compassion we give our patients every day 💛

So, take a breath, give yourself some grace, and remember to check in with your people. You never know how much someone might need it ✨

On Wednesdays, we wear PJs! 💙🐾

For today’s Vet Nurse Appreciation Week theme, our nurses traded their scrubs for pyjamas… but don’t worry, the pets still received the same amazing care, cuddles, and attention they always do!

Whether they’re monitoring anaesthetics, assisting in surgery, running nurse consults, comforting nervous patients, or cleaning up the less glamorous messes, our vet nurses do it all with a smile (and apparently matching PJs too!).

A huge thank you to our incredible nursing team for everything they do behind the scenes and on the clinic floor every single day. We appreciate you this week and every week! 💙

✨ Happy Veterinary Nurse Appreciation Week ✨

This week we’re celebrating Vet Nurse Appreciation Week and recognising the incredible work our veterinary nurses do every single day. Our nursing team is made up of nurses at different stages of their careers, from Diploma-qualified Veterinary Nurses, to our Registered Veterinary Nurses. Each brings their own skills, knowledge, and passion to the role, and together they form an invaluable part of our clinic team. 🩺🐕‍🦺

Meet our Nurses: Caitlin (Junior Nurse), Karen (Senior nurse), Abbie (Intermediate Nurse), Jess (Senior Nurse), Amber (Lead Vet Nurse) 👩🏼‍⚕️✨

Veterinary nurses are at the heart of patient care. They’re the comforting voice for worried owners, the gentle hands caring for nervous pets, and the skilled professionals ensuring every patient receives the best possible care 🐕🤍

Behind the scenes, our nurses are anaesthetists, surgical assistants, radiologists, dental hygienists, surgical preparers, phlebotomists, lab technicians, pain relievers, pharmacists, midwives, cuddlers, treat-feeders and coroners. They possess many clinical skills such as placing and maintain IV catheters, collecting blood samples, preparing cytology, triaging patients, grooming cats, running weight clinics, administering medications and many more! But most importantly, they are your pet’s advocate, a loving hand, and their comforter when in the clinic, they’re there for the cuddles, reassurance, treats, and extra TLC that can make all the difference 💗🐈

Their compassion, knowledge, dedication, and teamwork help keep our clinic running and ensure our patients receive exceptional care from the moment they walk through our doors ✨💙

Double the fluff, double the cuteness, and double the trouble! 😍

This week’s Friday Favourites are the adorable duo Mac and Chilli looking very professional with their stethoscopes and ready to join the Carevets team! 🩺

Who needs veterinarians when you’ve got Dr Mac and Dr Chilli on the job? 🐕

These two were busy supervising the team and making sure plenty of cuddles were prescribed throughout the day.

We hope Mac & Chilli have a fantastic weekend filled with treats, adventures, and plenty of cuddles. 💙💜
