Hey all you wonderful pet parents…as a small business initiative, we would love to give other small businesses a space to share our platform to get some exposure!

As a small business ourselves, we know how much hard work, family hours, missed meals and restless nights go into building your dream and believe we should all stick together to lift each other up and support growth alongside success!!

NEEDED!!! Poodle models for scissor cuts, poodle face and feet practice and varied styles (lamb, teddy bear, poms)

If you or anyone you now with poodles or poodle mixes who would like to volunteer their precious pups as models, please get in touch asap with what styles you are open to :)

We need at least 4 poodle face and feet models asap :)

🥳 We are also opening spaces next half term for our teen “salon experience” once again!

🫶🏼 ONLY 6 spaces available each week!

🐶 Teens learn safe animal handling, canine behaviour &psychology, pressure & release training, salon health & safety, grooming prep, bathing & drying, brushing and so much more! With a theory and practical exam at the end, your teen will receive a certificate of completion with a letter outlining their hours in the salon and tasks they completed to add to their CV.

🧑🏼‍🎓 Each teen experience runs for 5 days
(Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm)
$350 per student (covers training, consumable products used, exams, certificate & letter upon completion)

Bunnings pet treat WARNING ⚠️

Friends please help - and everyone who owns a dog please read ❤️ I’ve tagged a few friends to help spread the word.

This product Trusty 1 Piece Pork Bone Dog Treat from Bunnings is dangerous.

Within 24 hours of our Flash having this treat he began vomitting, became lethargic, was in pain and stopped eating and drinking. On Thursday night he underwent emergency surgery to remove bone splinters from his small intestine. Flash isnt out of the woods yet with extensive damage to his small intestine - we are waiting for him to eat and drink and recover 💔

After purchasing this and taking Flash to the vet we looked at reviews of this product on the Bunnings website and there are several dog owners, as recent as two weeks ago, warning people of the damage this product has caused their beloved pets! Bunnings has responded to us via email promptly and will be looking into this matter, but they have declined our review to be live on their website to warn others (pic in comments).

We’ve asked Bunnings to immediately remove this product from their shelves and there has been no response from head office. On Friday I went and filled a trolley with the bones I found on the shelves and thankfully the New Lynn Bunnings staff agreed to remove it to stop owners unknowingly purchasing these (otherwise I was going to buy them and bin them).

The manufacturer from Australia has not responded to our complaint and warning.

What YOU can help me with 🙏🏻

❤️Please share my post to all dog owners and animal shelters warning of this product.

❤️If you want to go a step further, please head to your local Bunnings and take them off the shelf and take them to customer service counter and politely ask them to remove them until their process of the complaint is complete.

❤️ If you can advocate further, advise your pet insurance company of this product and the animals injured, as there may be multiple claims on a faulty and dangerous product. Unfortunately we don’t have pet insurance so we’ve had over $5000 of vet bills for a $5 treat we thought was safe for our furry friends.

❤️❤️And even further - if you can put me in touch with anyone from the media to share our story so we can spread the word and have this product removed immediately from Bunnings shelves Nationwide.

There are a MINIMUM of 8 other dogs in a similar position to Flash with intestinal blockages, bowel surgeries, vomiting and gut damage. Stop selling this product.

Check the reviews of the product out on Bunnings in the link in the comments - because it makes me wonder why nothing has been done sooner.

Alrighty guys and gals…we are sitting at around 6 months away from silly season (can you believe how quickly this year is just melting away?!), so for any of you early birds who like to book in advance, here’ your chance to secure a Xmas appointment ahead of the mad end of year rush!

This year we will be wrapping things up on December 18th, first in first served, though pre-paid package clients will have priority bookings reserved ;)

Feels crazy to be posting this already, but if I don’t we may all blink and the festive season will be upon us lol
