🚨 Canine Parvovirus: Small Virus, Big Danger
Canine Parvovirus (CPV) is one of the most devastating diseases a dog can face, ESPECIALLY puppies.
It strikes fast, attacks the gut and immune system, and becomes life-threatening within hours.
Parvo spreads easily through contaminated grass, sidewalks, shoes, bowls… almost anywhere, and can lay dormant for years.
What to look out for:
Early signs often look innocent - vomiting, sudden tiredness, loss of appetite, but they can spiral into severe dehydration and bloody diarrhea quickly.
But here’s the good news: it’s preventable. The parvo vaccine is highly effective and saves lives every single day. Unvaccinated dogs should avoid highly populated areas, better yet, stay home until their vaccination course is complete.
If your dog shows symptoms or seems “off,” don’t wait. Parvo is a race against time. Prevention and early treatment makes all the difference.
Protect your dog. Complete a full course of vaccines. Act fast. Spread awareness, not the virus.
If in doubt contact a veterinary clinic and they will be happy to provide information and support to you and your pet.
