💙 Help Us Find This Cat’s Family

Today we had a young cat dropped off at our clinic and sadly, we have not been able to identify him, as he was not microchipped. We would really like to give his family the opportunity to know what has happened to their much-loved boy. 💙

- Male – entire
- Black & white DSH
- Approximately 10 months old
- No microchip
- Found around Fairfield Intermediate

💛 Found Cat – Please Share

A stray cat was recently brought into CareVets Chartwell yesterday and we are hoping to find out if anyone knows where he may belong.

- Male – entire
- Domestic Short Hair (DSH)
- Tabby
- No microchip
- Estimated 3–4 years old

We would really appreciate it if you could share this post to help us reach anyone who may have any information about where he came from.

🐦 Bird Flu: A reminder to stay vigilant

While bird flu (H5N1) has not been detected in the Waikato, it's important for all New Zealanders to know what to do if they come across a sick or dead wild bird.

If you see one:
❌ Don't touch or move it.
📞 Report it to MPI on 0800 80 99 66.
🐕 Keep pets, especially dogs, away from sick or dead birds.

If your pet has had contact with a sick or dead bird, please give your local CareVets clinic a call for advice before bringing them in.

Early reporting helps protect our native wildlife, livestock, pets and communities. Thank you for helping keep New Zealand safe. 💙

🐾 FOUND CAT 🐾

This young Female Tortoiseshell Domestic Short Hair cat has been brought into CareVets Chartwell this morning after being found on Hukanui Road.

She appears to be under 1 year of age and is unfortunately not microchipped.

If you believe this may be your cat, please contact CareVets Chartwell on 07 855 9072. We will require photo evidence to help confirm ownership.

🐰FOUND RABBIT 🐰
A kind member of public has brought in a large breed rabbit found on Cook St in Hamilton East, hanging about by the road. Please call the clinic on 078559072 if you are missing your bunny.
The rabbit is unharmed, but understandably stressed.
⭐You will need to provide proof of ownership upon collection.

A kind member of public has dropped off a small breed dog. She is wearing a ribbon-like collar with a bell attached. She is microchipped, but unfortunately is not registered.
📍Found wandering the Fairfield college staff carpark
Please call the clinic on 078559072 if you believe this to be your pet. We require proof of ownership before collection.

⭐Please ensure your pets have a microchip implanted AND are registered on the national database.
⭐ Ensure your contact details are up to date on the register.

🥰Tucksie has been found and is back home safe and sound 🥰
HAVE YOU SEEN THIS LOST CAT??
He was last seen running away when brought into CareVets Chartwell, around Lyndon Court / Wake Street. A semi-stray male neutered cat that goes by the name of Tucksie. He is microchipped, if found please call us through 078559072 or bring him into the clinic. His owner is extremely worried and looking for him. She is willing to offer an REWARD if anybody finds him. If you have any information, please reach out to us.
