💙 Help Us Find This Cat’s Family

Today we had a young cat dropped off at our clinic and sadly, we have not been able to identify him, as he was not microchipped. We would really like to give his family the opportunity to know what has happened to their much-loved boy. 💙

- Male – entire
- Black & white DSH
- Approximately 10 months old
- No microchip
- Found around Fairfield Intermediate

A big thank you to the member of the public who took the time to bring him into us. We truly appreciate their kindness and care. 💙

If you recognise this cat or have any information that may help us find his family, please contact CareVets Chartwell on 07 855 9072.

Please share this post so we can reach as many people as possible. 💙🐾

🐦 Bird Flu: A reminder to stay vigilant

While bird flu (H5N1) has not been detected in the Waikato, it's important for all New Zealanders to know what to do if they come across a sick or dead wild bird.

If you see one:
❌ Don't touch or move it.
📞 Report it to MPI on 0800 80 99 66.
🐕 Keep pets, especially dogs, away from sick or dead birds.

If your pet has had contact with a sick or dead bird, please give your local CareVets clinic a call for advice before bringing them in.

Early reporting helps protect our native wildlife, livestock, pets and communities. Thank you for helping keep New Zealand safe. 💙
