🐾 Meet Shakera 🐾
one of our lovely vet nurses

Shakera has been part of the Pet Doctors team since 2021 and loves caring for all the pets who come through our doors.

Her favourite parts of the job include meeting the new animals that families are welcoming home, feeding patients after surgery once they’ve finished fasting, and assisting with surgeries and procedures behind the scenes. 🐶🐱

Fun fact: Shakera also helps run our puppy school classes and loves helping new puppies (and their humans!) get the best start together. 🐾✨

Be sure to say hi to Shakera next time you’re in the clinic!

🐾 Meet one of our amazing vets, Dr. Yvette! 🐾

With 10 years of experience under her belt, Dr. Yvette has been caring for pets and their people at Pet Doctors for the past 6 years—and we’re so lucky to have her on the team.
She loves meeting new patients, soaking up the soothing sound of a purring cat, and helping both animals and their humans feel their very best. And of course… she keeps things lively by (lovingly!) annoying the nurses from time to time.

Fun fact: Dr. Yvette has a bit of a travel bug and has explored 5 countries beyond New Zealand 🌍✈️

Next time you’re in clinic, be sure to say hello!

🐾 Meet Michaela, one of our awesome vet nurses! 🐾

Michaela graduated in 2020 and has been part of the Pet Doctors family ever since—bringing skill, dedication, and plenty of energy to the team.

In clinic, she’s always ready to jump in, whether it’s wrestling with big dogs, shaving cats, assisting with uncommon surgeries, or helping animals on their road to recovery. No two days are ever the same, and that’s just how she likes it!

Fun fact: Michaela has a strong stomach and a real interest in the more “gory” side of medicine—the things most people might find a bit gross are right up her alley! 🩺

If you see Michaela around the clinic, be sure to say hi!
