“We had an owner coaching session with Sascha to help with our puppy Kia’s over-excitement around our older dog, Dodge. Kia was constantly jumping up, face licking and getting herself very worked up, especially when waiting to come out of her crate.
It was so helpful having Sascha work with Kia in person and showing us some really simple changes we could make. We worked on teaching Kia to calm herself before coming out of the crate, without relying on commands, and the difference has been huge.
We put the new strategies into practice that very night and have already seen such an improvement. Kia is much calmer around Dodge, and with the face licking dramatically reduced, Dodge is now a lot more tolerant of having her around.
We’ve fostered over 50 dogs and puppies, so we’re certainly not new to dogs, but we found this session incredibly helpful. We’re looking forward to more coaching sessions in the future and would definitely recommend them to both new and experienced dog owners!”
