Today was the last day for Poppy's Swedes for the season, our new stud sire Victor from Kincardine Angus has enjoyed being on quality control! Thanks to everyone who supported Poppy over the winter period and she'll be back next year.

Calving is well under way with a third of the dairy girls now in. This season we have built a new calf shed, while its still in the final stages of completion (power, roller door and some missing gates...) its been a cool process to see the ideas come to life. Many thanks to all invovled, Ant Wallace Building, Stuart Timber, RB Rural, Johan Elektrix, Irrigation and Pumps, Allied concrete, Placemakers Gore, Fraser Mowat.

It’s been a rather busy year both on and off the farm, with a couple of top-notch awards, settling family succession, and adding another wee daughter to the mix! Peter and Alice have taken ownership of the Hereford stud, and we wish them well in their future endeavors. You can follow their progress over at Westholm Polled Herefords; in the meantime, we’ll keep you updated on all things dairy and Angus going forward.
