Remy ❤️

Remy is a 6-7 week old Kitten 🐈

You’ll normally find us posting dogs but we had goats last week and now it’s time for a kitten who has had a rough start to life.
Animal Control got a call last week to help free a kitten from a trap, when they arrived they found Remy with her front left paw caught in a rat trap, we don’t know how long the poor girl had been stuck there.
The team quickly freed Remy from the trap and rushed her off to the vets to be assessed.
She had an X-ray this week to rule out any fractures in her paw and is recovering well.

Remy has been with us for over a week now and boooy is her personality starting to develop.
She is a very smoochy girl, loves to curl up and have a cuddle, and she has started to play a lot more as time goes on.

Remy will soon be ready to find a loving forever home where she can leave her rough start behind.
She’ll need a family who can continue to help build her confidence, spoil her with cuddles, and keep up with her playful kitten antics as she grows.
Despite everything she’s been through, Remy hasn’t let it dull her sweet, affectionate nature.
We can’t wait to see this resilient little girl get the happy ending she truly deserves.

Remy will have her first vaccination before she leaves our care and will be desexed when she’s old enough.

*We’ve found homes for all 3, thank you for everyone’s help 💙*

*Urgent* 🐐

These 3 Goats need to find homes before the end of the week.

I set up this rescue to help the dogs in the pound who are running out of time, but unfortunately these goats are in the same position and just like the dogs they deserve a chance of a better life.
They only have until the end of the week so please share and send us a private message if you can help.
In an ideal world the two smaller boys would go together, the bigger boy in the middle of the photo will be fine if he goes separately.

We’re looking for homes where they can live out the rest of their lives, cared for and happy, so please don’t get in touch if your intentions are otherwise.

All 3 are desexed.

Eli 💙

9/10 weeks old, male, mixbreed and will likely grow to be medium to large in size.

Like any young pup, he’s curious about the world, loves to play and is always up for exploring something new.
He’s in a foster home with 3 other dogs and loves to run around with them in the paddock, play with toys, and then cuddle up for a well earned rest.
He’s still very young but is learning something new everyday, he knows to sit for his food, is respectful with the cats and resists all temptations to chase the chickens.

We didn’t get any serious interest from his first post, but we are hoping his forever family are not too far away.
He’s an affectionate boy and would love to have a family of his own.

His ideal home would be somewhere he’s not left on his own for long periods, with secure fencing, a warm bed inside to sleep at night and with a family who have the time and patience to help him grow into the amazing dog we know he can be.

Meet Eli 💙

8 weeks old, male, mixbreed and will likely grow to be medium to large in size.

Eli‘s a confident and social little boy who’s currently escaped the pound and is in a foster home just outside of Hamilton with dogs, cats, chickens and a 7 year old boy.
He already knows dogs are for playing with, and smart enough to figure out not to mess with the cats.
He loves food and toys so that should help with training.

Puppies require a lot of time, training and patience, so please only show interest if you’re in a position to give him that.
He’ll need a property that can keep him secure and safe, and a warm space inside to sleep at night.

Eli has had his 1st vaccinations and will need more before he’s safe to be out walking the streets and going to parks.
The cost to adopt is to cover however many vaccinations he’s had before he finds his home, and the cost of his desexing, which will be booked and paid for before he leaves (For a future date when he’s at a healthy age to do so).

Meet Manaaki 💙

He’s 2 years old, a Labrador mix breed and medium to large in size.

Manaaki has had a rough year so far, his original owners couldn’t give him their time anymore so he ended up in a new home. His new owner wanted him to be a guard dog and had him chained up outside 👎🏻
Manaaki broke off the chain and escaped the property, a great result getting out of that situation but he then found himself loose in an area that wasn’t familiar to him, and for the next two months he was running around lost and scared. Thankfully some local farmers managed to catch him and called animal control.
His new owner was contacted but he didn’t want Manaaki anymore, he’d looked for him for about a minute but then replaced him with another dog.
Great news for Manaaki but sad for the new dog.

After being on his own for so long, he was nervous when back around people again. But it only took him a couple hours and he was making friends and trusting people again.
I’ve been lucky to spend a lot of time with him recently and he’s got a beautiful soul. He’s well mannered, affectionate, and plays nicely with other dogs.

His ideal home would be somewhere he’s not left on his own for long periods, has secure fencing, a warm bed inside at night and with a family that can give him the love he has been missing but very much deserves.

Meet Ava & Bodhi ❤️💙

5 months old, Shar Pei mixbreeds.
Ava will likely grow to be medium in size and Bodhi large in size.

Ava and Bodhi were handed into Animal Control when they were just 2 months old, their brother Cooper and sister Demi found lovely homes through the pound but sadly Ava and Bodhi haven’t had any serious interest.

They are now in foster homes and have been around a mix of large and small dogs, cats, chickens, young and older kids, and have behaved beautifully.

Training has been a breeze with these two as they love food and are smart pups.
They have been crate trained, are learning to walk on leads and sit nicely for food.

Both are affectionate and social pups and we would love to find them homes where they aren’t left on their own for long periods, somewhere with secure fencing and a warm bed inside at night.

Meet Pango 💙

He’s 1 and a half years old, a Staffy mix breed and medium in size.

Pango has joined the rescue after spending the last 3 months in the pound.
This handsome boy has so many things going for him, but somehow he’s watched many dogs come and go and not had any serious interest himself.
He’s very affectionate, great on a lead, has lovely manners, well behaved around kids, social with every person and dog that he meets. He really is a lovely boy.

Pango’s ideal home would be somewhere he’s not left on his own for long periods, he loves having company whether that be with his people or with another dog.
Somewhere with secure fencing to keep him safe, a warm bed to sleep in at night, and with someone who can give him the time and love he deserves.

Meet Missy and Carlos ❤️💙

Labrador mixbreeds, 2 years old and medium in size.

Missy and Carlos joined the rescue on Friday after 6 months in the pound.
It’s sad how dogs as nice and as well behaved as these two can go so long without finding a home, but hopefully their forever families are reading this and they will find homes soon🤞🏻

Missy and Carlos are siblings who have grown up in the same home and get along nicely.
They have adapted well to being in separate foster homes so we are open to rehoming them together or individually.
They are a little shy initially, but it doesn’t take them long to build confidence.
Both are social with other dogs, but we think Missy is a bit more dominant so she would suit a home with a submissive friend, and could also do well as a solo dog ❤️
We think Carlos could mix well with most dogs, and would also be fine as a solo dog 💙

They walk beautifully on leads, have good manners, seem to understand most commands and are quiet, affectionate dogs.
They really are lovely and it’s hard to understand how they have spent so long in the pound with no interest.

Their ideal home would be somewhere they aren’t left on their own for long periods, have a warm bed inside at night, and a property with secure fencing.
They are both in foster homes with kids, and have been gentle and well behaved.

The cost to adopt would be to cover their vet fees, which we can discuss through private messages.
They are microchipped, registered, desexed and up to date with their vaccinations and flea and worming.
