VetEast is offering sheep and cattle trace element testing by liver biopsy for bookings made between 20 May and 20 June.

Trace element status can play an important role in how sheep and cattle perform through winter and late gestation.

Testing helps provide a clearer picture of key trace element levels, including copper, selenium and B12, allowing more informed supplementation decisions before production is affected.

For a limited time, book 10 cattle tests and receive 50% off 10 sheep tests.

Live liver biopsy is a straightforward procedure performed by a veterinarian under local anaesthetic. A small sample is collected from the liver without the animal needing to be killed, and the procedure is generally well tolerated.

This can be particularly useful for assessing mixed-age cows and ewes, rather than relying only on cull animals tested at the works.

Book between 20 May and 20 June.

We’re proud to celebrate Dr. Robyn Haasbroek and the work she’s been putting in behind the scenes. Over the past months, Robyn has completed additional training and dedicated countless hours to refining her orthopaedic surgical skills and it really shows.

This case is a great example of the level of care and capability we’re continuing to build here at VetEast. Being able to offer advanced orthopaedic procedures locally means better outcomes and less stress for both pets and their owners.
