With the end of cattle pregnancy scanning coming to an end, the big question is...
How did your herd stack up this season?

So far we’ve been seeing empty rates between
7.3% – 11%, with 6-week in-calf rates between 73% - 76.5% across the farms we’ve scanned.

For comparison, good targets to keep in mind are:

🐄 6-week in-calf rate:
Aim for 78% or higher

🐄 3-week submission rate:
Aim for 90% or higher

These numbers are great indicators of how well mating has gone and can highlight opportunities to improve next season.

How did your herd compare?

Don't bury your head in the sand or a bucket!

Time to open your eyes to drench performance on your farm!

To help you achieve this we are offering a free Faecal Egg Count (FEC) pack with every drench order to test your drench efficiency. The best way to test your drench is by taking 10 faecal samples, 10 days post drench.

Did you know:

🐑 At 90% drench efficacy, lambs will have a 20% lower growth rate and on average they will be 2.8kg lighter by the end of March

🐑 At 50% drench efficacy, lambs will die.

Any questions about any FEC drench checks or FEC reduction tests, please get in touch with the clinic.
