Extra care taken and changing your routine to keep a babies in routine is so important! Whats hilarious is the fact its taking 3 grown arse adults working together to keep routine for him! Go mums doing routine today! I remember how hard it was on my own with all my little ones. Thankfully all grown up because we all need an afternoon nap after babysitting 😂😂😂😂

Remembering Dolly Parton 🤍

Today the world feels a little less bright.

Even Heartland Cottage has its very own Dolly (We named our Highland cow after the incredible Dolly Parton) Story to follow.

Dolly Parton was so much more than a singer, songwriter and entertainer. She was kindness, generosity, laughter and hope wrapped into one unforgettable person.

Her music became the soundtrack to generations, but her greatest legacy may be the lives she touched through her generosity and the opportunities she created for others.

Dolly showed the world that you can stay true to who you are, no matter how far life takes you — and that success means even more when you use it to lift and inspire others.

Thank you for the music, the laughter, the kindness and the amazing example you become. 🎶💖

🌿 A Day of Reconnecting, Exploring & New Beginnings at Heartland Cottage! 🐾
Today was all about reconnecting with old friends, meeting some very new arrivals, and getting out into nature! 💚
We started by checking on all the animals, with plenty of cuddles along the way. Indie the guinea pig was especially popular, with our tamariki loving the chance to reconnect with one of their favourite little friends. 🐹❤️
We also got to meet some very special new arrivals — they were just over an hour old! ✨ There’s nothing quite like watching new life arrive at Heartland Cottage.
With some new tamariki joining us, we spent time getting to know the ponies too. 🐴 Building confidence, creating connections and simply enjoying being around the animals is such an important part of what we do.
Then it was time for a little adventure! 🌲 We headed into the forest to collect ferns and pinecones for our animals. The ferns were particularly special because our blue-tongue lizards have just woken up from their winter rest and were ready for some fresh greenery. 🦎🌿
Animals, nature, friendship and a little bit of adventure — just another day of learning at Heartland Cottage. ❤️
We love watching our tamariki reconnect with their favourite animals and discover new ones along the way. 🐾
