Fast Tempo was bred in partnership by HGT and David Woodhouse and is out of Tavistock mare Cordal, who herself is half sister to wonder mare BELCLARE. He sold through our 2023 Karaka Book 2 draft, today’s win marking his fourth career win and second win on the bounce this campaign👌🏻

Fast Tempo, trained by Gordon Richards & Damien Moyle, won the Sportsbet Blackbook Handicap at Morphettville, ridden by Jason Holder.

Another HGT Graduate winner today in the fifth race at Te Aroha when AIM UP (Belardo x Kay’s Trophy) attacked the line late following with a patient ride from Craig Grylls for trainer Darrel Lang 💪🏼💪🏼

Aim Up was bred by ‘H’ Helen Phinney and was sold through the 2023 Karaka Weanling sale.

An astute Gavelhouse purchase for a meer $2200, this is a family that can all gallop and no doubt there will be more bottles of wine for the shelf from this mare🫡

Things we LOVE to see 🥰💜

Subtle Time — better known as Rosco to his mates — spent three months with us at the beginning of the year recovering from injury. That meant plenty of box rest, patience, and countless hand-walk laps around the farm.

Moments like this make it all worthwhile. ✨

At just his second start back this campaign, Rosco powered home for the win for trainer Roger Allen, with owner and strapper Roger Parkinson there to celebrate every second. 🕺🏻🏆

What a comeback, Rosco! We couldn't be happier to see you back in action.

Congratulations to one of the driving forces behind our business for making the finalists in the Mary-Lynne Ryan Young Achiever Award. Anyone that knows Georgia knows how hard she works and she has been a big influence on taking our business from a bare bull finishing unit in 2019, to where we are today producing quality horses each year for the yearling sales 💪🏼

Helen will have plenty to celebrate over the night with her favourite man Per Incanto having a fantastic season resulting in him taking out both the Centaine and Dewar Awards for Little Avondale Stud. Congratulations Team LA, what a horse he is the gift that keeps on giving 💫
