October puppy pre-school graduates! 🎓
This extra special bunch of puppies all graduated tonight 😍 we have had such a great time each session and the weeks have absolutely flown by! And some awesome tricks taught by very dedicated owners!
Flash the golden retriever patiently balanced a treat on the tip of her nose before flicking it up into the air! Possibly one of the best graduation night party tricks I've seen!

Flash, Jax, Charlie, Tui, Alfie, Ahi and Benny, its been a pleasure having you all come through puppy preschool and we hope you have the best time zooming on the beach and at the park now that you're all fully vaccinated too 💖🎉

❤️ To our incredible nursing teams at Bay Vets and Vets4Petz 🐾

🐈 Before the clinic opens and long after lights go low,
Your quiet, steady devotion makes our practices glow.
You soothe the frightened rescues and hold each nervous paw,
Approaching every single day with endless care and awe.

🐕 You monitor each breath and cuddle every pup,
Always there to heal, to comfort, and to lift them up.
The animals are safer for the selfless part you play.

❤️ To our guardians, our heart, and our everyday glue:
Happy Vet Nurse Appreciation Week—we simply adore you! 🐾
Please share your appreciation below for our wonderful vet nurses 💖

Part 2 : How to reduce our reliance on drench to manage worms in our young stock

25/09/2026

Our Edgecumbe clinic is getting a new roof! 🏠
Which will be amazing..........because no more leaks💧💦

But while the re-roofing is going on over the next couple of weeks, we will probably experience a bit of noise 🔨🪛👷‍♂️
Which may be unsettling for your pet.
🐾 We can book you into our other clinics, Whakatane or Kawerau if you feel this would suit better 🐈🐕

And because our building is surrounded by scaffolding, it makes us look closed but we are still open and operating as usual

🚗 One more thing to add, the roofing company truck will be parked in the car park so we won't have as much off the road parking and you will need to park on the roadside. If you need help with your pet 🐕🐈 please pop inside and we can come and help you 🙋‍♀️

🐱🐾5 signs your pet may have dental disease could be:🐾🐶
1. Bad breath – persistent smelly breath can be one of the first signs of dental disease.
2. Red, swollen or bleeding gums – healthy gums should generally be pink and not inflamed.
3. Difficulty eating or chewing – dropping food, chewing on one side, eating more slowly, or avoiding hard food.
4. Yellow or brown build-up on the teeth – visible tartar, especially around the gumline.
5. Changes around the mouth or face – pawing at the mouth, excessive drooling, facial swelling, or seeming sore when the mouth is touched.
