Vetco and the Edendale Vet Club are thrilled to again be the major sponsors of the Annual Edendale Bowling Club Clash for Cancer. The bowlers are hard at it today hoping to secure the spoils. Tonight there is a fundraising auction from 6.45. In the post below you can see some of the amazing auction items going under the hammer. All proceeds go to the Southern Cancer society with a special focus on skin cancer this year. Skin cancer is something we all need to be aware of(especially our farmers and staff who spend so much time outdoors ☀️)

Morning everyone - an update for you

Edendale Clinic: We are back on deck with power and phones

Kennington Clinic: Still without power and phone currently diverted to Edendale. There are staff on site though so shop is open.

Deliveries: If we didn’t make it to you yesterday afternoon we’ll be getting to you today. If you know of trees down or limited access to your property please give us a call if you can.

There seems to be limited cell reception in the area so we’ll do our best

With the current weather situation we are without power, phones and computer network. We have one available phone line able to handle emergency calls. We hope to be back to normal tomorrow. Stay safe out there.

Just a reminder to all of our clients that this weekend 4th and 5th October is the last weekend of our retail stores and deliveries running seven days for Spring 2025. Vetco would like to offer a huge congratulations to Donald Hay, who was recently awarded the prestigious Alan Leslie Memorial Award at the Annual Conference of The New Zealand Veterinary Club Practices Assn. This award which recognises outstanding service to the club practice movement, is presented here by Alan Marshall, the Chairman of the Edendale Vet Club, recognising the contribution Donald has made to the Club in over 30 years. Donald served as Chairman of the Club for 13 years, and is still an active Executive Board Member. He was also a stalwart of our Vetco delivery team, and while he officially retired in 2024, you still see him make the occasional appearance 'off the bench'. Well done Donald! 🏆🎉

We'd like to invite all of our dairy clients along to a Mastitis farmer meeting, hosted by Vetco and Agrihealth. Wednesday 18th June 11.30am-1pm at the Three Rivers Hotel, Wyndham. Opportunity to discuss High SCC cows, best use of Dry Cow treatments and antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, teat scoring and more. Give us a shout to confirm your spot so we make sure there's plenty of lunch for you.
