Jade has transported horses to and from us (and always does a super job!)
I was so saddened to hear of her accident - being a similar age to myself, it makes you realise just how quickly things can change when we are dealing with horses, and to not take things for granted.

I put this guy up a while back on behalf of a friend - unfortunately through a routine dental a fractured tooth was found, and needed removing, so he subsequently had to have some time off.
He’s now back in work and is arriving to me over the weekend to find his new 🏡

Rising 7yo 16.3hh Awatea Splashback/Voltaire II/Aberlou gelding.
Lovely mover, hacks out alone and in company, basics established, good to handle. Louis is ready for the right person to come along and produce him for whatever discipline they please. He is a quality young horse and one I have always really rated, even when I broke him in.

Louis has been x rayed with mild kissing spine. The x rays and report are available. While the vet has given him the green light to carry on with his ridden career, he will only go to someone knowledgeable and who will keep him up to date with bodywork, correct saddle fit, and are picky about how he is shod/feet angles.

Video & further photos will be done over the next week or so, but I am more than happy to answer any questions in the meantime.

This wee gem will be becoming available soon - sadly I just don’t think she is going to keep growing enough for me!

16hh rising 5yo buckskin mare. Qaside MD (Hanoverian approved stallion in Germany)/Fugato/Sandreo.
Hazel is one of the biggest moving young horses I have sat on, she is super athletic and elastic with huge shoulder freedom and a great hind leg.
She also has an incredible brain - sensitive, but sensible and safe. Although green, she is the sort you can hop on after a week off, in the howling wind and rain, and she won’t skip a beat.
Has had one small outing to an in hand show where she was very well behaved, tied to the float like a pro, and came away with a wide ribbon.
Great to handle, super friendly and always the first one to the gate. Lives off the smell of an oily rag 🐷

If you are dead set on having something that moves straight - she is not for you, and won’t likely be a prospect for high level showing. Personally this doesn’t bother me as an upper level dressage prospect!

If she was 16.2hh she absolutely would not ve going anywhere - this quality but also temperament do not come along often rolled together in the same package.

Such a great day! And so promising to see so many new combinations finding their feet in the dressage arena.
Vera also coped surprisingly well doing her first demo - I did briefly contemplate swapping her out for the newly started 4yo (who is much quieter 🤣) but Vera stepped up and proved she is becoming more and more rideable in new situations.
Thanks Erika for organising and Gail for writing - looking forwards to being involved in another one of these over winter. Watch this space!

Handling & worming day for Maple 🍁
She is four months old now, and alongside seriously impressive movement and show ring good looks, she has the coolest attitude towards life! We have never liked over handling our young ones, so this was only her third time with a halter on. She didn’t miss a beat, had retained everything from last time, was super bold and loved being the centre of attention.
I’m looking forward to seeing her when she loses that foal fluff, and impressive ear hair in the Spring 🌼
I think for now she is going back in the “keepers” paddock and being pulled from the market….she is the best foal we’ve bred, and she is looking like she’ll be tall enough for me too! 🤞🏼

Over the last wee while I’ve been really enjoying getting these two up and running under saddle, Felix (Formidable/Let’s Kiss N Tell) is rising 4, and Hazel (Qaside MD/Fugato) is rising 5. Both lovely young horses with very bright futures!

Although I unfortunately don’t see as much of Charlize now that horses aren’t my full time - I popped out the other day to teach from her place, and was super impressed with the job she has done on her two projects.

Both are available, and are lovely types who have had the basics well installed as well as a couple of wee outings and hacks.

- Darvel Estelle. 14hh 6yo Riding Pony mare. Darvel Sparrow/Willow Tree Royalty. Beautiful type, very correct, and a super mover. Top class dressage or show pony in the right hands!

- Elranchero Silent Echo. 15.1hh 4yo by Copperfield, out of a TB mare. Echo is a lovely little package, good mover, and has popped over some jumps showing plenty of ability. Super fun, competitive all rounder type.

Both have been very well produced, and are working kindly - but are still green.

I’m excited to be playing a part in this alongside Erika from EquiTrain NZ!

Perfect opportunity to dip your toes in, get a feeling for what it’s all about, how to gain (or lose!) marks, and a great way of getting out and about with your horse in a relaxed, encouraging environment.
I will also have an Activo Med rug there from Animal Therapeutics Online available for free demos - great timing while they have an EOFY sale happening 🛍️

Queen Regent HD (Maple)

Buckskin filly, EMH 16.2hh

Quasar SSH/Gym Bello/Uraeus

A seriously typey, quality filly with exceptional paces and show ring good looks.

Maples pedigree is filled with Grand Prix and FEI producers, and she is looking every bit the part to have the ability follow in her family’s footsteps.

She is bold and brave, and has been lightly and correctly handled (including floated). She is a super intelligent filly, and is very quick to learn.

Straight and correct, she would not look out of place in the show ring either!

Fillies of this quality are not easily replaceable, and I will probably kick myself for parting with her. However a change in circumstances means she is available to the best of homes, with all reasonable offers being considered due to the current market.

While she is currently a real chocolatey buckskin, she will return to a lovely golden colour in the spring when she loses her foal coat.

Fahrenheit HD (Felix)

Rising 4yo black Hanoverian gelding, currently 16.2hh.
Microchipped, DNA verified, and a registered NZ Hanoverian.

Formidable (Fidertanz/De Niro)/First Lady HD (Let’s Kiss N Tell/Grand Passion).

Felix has been professionally started under saddle, and is showing he has super natural rhythm, swing, and expression in all three paces.

He is correctly put together, with clean, straight limbs. Good to handle in every way, he is a real class clown with plenty of character 🤡

Has not shown any dirt in his short time under saddle. However he does still at times need his hand held, can be a little looky and noise reactive. However he is proving to be very trainable and is progressing quickly - he loves to please and tries his best!

Felix would be a top prospect for an ambitious rider wanting a talented young horse showing all the right mechanics for the upper levels - as his breeding would suggest.

We are going to be fussy where he goes, and he will only be placed with a rider with the appropriate skill and tact to produce a talented young horse who is bred to be a Ferrari (not a Corolla!).

Genuine reason he is available….if we do not find his perfect person then I might have to steal him 🤭
