Watchdog Doggy Day Care Watchdog Boutique Home-stay in Central Dannevirke, caters for small dogs up to 18 inches. Dog must be over 6 months old, right up to elderly dogs.

Dogs must be fixed, vaccinated, flea & worm treatment. My Services are: Daycare, Overnight & Holiday stays. Dogs must be fully vaccinated, before coming on the property. I take puppies from 4 months old to older dogs. Payment needed before your dogs stay. Holidays: A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your dogs booking

The right way for dogs to play with one another.
Mutual consent: Alternating roles, like taking turns chasing, relaxed body language and regular pauses.

Signs of healthy Play.
Play bows: Bouncing up on front paws, taking turns, swapping roles during chasing or wrestling games.

Self-handicapping: A larger or stronger dog temporarily lowering themselves or rolling over to let the smaller or younger dog to play.

Loose body language: Bouncy movments, open relaxed mouths and soft barking.

WARNING SIGNS TO STOP PLAY
One-sided interaction, one dog does all the chasing, stalking or bullying, while the other tries to get away, Stiff or silent posture, sudden stillness, hard staring, or a tucked tail.
No breaks: Play escalates without pauses or where dogs fail to calm down when separated.

TIPS OF SAFE PLAY
Supervise closely: Watch body language and stop to give dogs freuent rest breaks before they get overtired.
Remove triggers: Pick up toys, bones, and food bowls during play to prevent resource guarding.
Keep introductions neutral: Let dogs meet in calm open areas, rather than crowded dog parks where tensions can run high
