Bagging up beauties all week

There has been loads of interest in the sale this Saturday, especially for some of the more sought-after varieties.

We are small-scale growers, so quantities are not large.
I already know that some people will miss out on what they want, and I'm sorry about that. Some of these harder-to-find ones are that way because they don't produce many tubers or eyes so even with multiple plants grown, there are few tubers to show for it.

So please remember if you're coming on Saturday and you miss out on what you want, untwist your un**es, you will be ok, they are just dahlias.

Attn Canterbury - its happening people.

This year some friends and I have teamed up to bring you our first dahlia pop-up sale.

There will be tubers, cutting and seeds avaliable.
Spring is just around the corner now and we all know you've got room for a few more dahlias.

August 29th

Ive been working on multiplying some of my favourites

This thermostat x heat mat combo has been a game changer for rooting cuttings. No rooting hormones just in straight seed raising mix.

It doesn't get super warm in the garage where the bulk of the cuttings are growing on but they arr out here surviving

Meet the slug patrol.

Noodles, Chicken nugget and Fluffy butt. 2 girls and a little boy.

Their government names are after my siblings Tanya Lea, Vanessa Ann and Martin Stewart Arthur 🤣.

These guys are Muscovy ducks and we picked them because they are silent ducks. Perfect for a suburban flower farm. Still messy as heck, I thought newborns pooed alot but ducks are another level. All good fertiliser tho so cant complain.

Im a crazy duck mum now, out here living the dream.

Joel's favorite is an Informal Decorative Dahlia introduced from the netherlands in 2021.

It's peach, blush, apricot and creamy pink tones are so dreamy.

Joel’s Favourite is a large romantic bloom with soft layered petals that close up in the evenings.

Be warned it's a short plant that doesnt have super long stems so dont plant it between 2 giants like I did.
