Today is a big day for Wicketts and myself!
It is my last day owning Wicketts Dog Grooming 🐕, a business I started 17 years ago so I could stay at home with my children Danielle, Navead, Mercedes and Matthew.
I started doing 3 dogs a week in my garage and slowly built it up to the bustling business it is today.
With a passion for grooming and a love for every pooch I met, I certainly chose the right career.
I'd like to thank my regular customers, seeing some of you every 4 weeks, you soon build a bond with not just the dog but their owners as well.
Also my husband Leo for supporting me through not just the good times but the stressful ones too. You are now certainly a pro at applying for consents for grooming businesses.
My amazing staff. Ang, Jodie, Sammie and Nikita. Some old, some new. Also, two of my amazing staff who recently had to leave due to their Visas running out Yasu and Laura. I'm so proud of you all and it's been a pleasure to work beside you.
Most importantly I'd like to thank my partner in crime, sidekick, 2IC and The Real Boss of Wicketts Amanda.
Thank you Amanda for your hard work and dedication to Wicketts and our friendship. We have had lots of laughs and tears. Mainly laughs.
Your management and customer skills and love for the dogs shone through every day!
As of tomorrow a lovely new owner Monica will take over and make Wicketts even better. Monica lives in Christchurch and has her own mobile salon! Thank you Monica, after getting to know you I have no doubt Wicketts is in the best hands.
I will still be working to settle Monica in over the next couple of months and my lovely staff will still be there to take care of your beautiful pups.
