We're excited to introduce one of our veterinary nurses, Rebekah!

Originally from Auckland, Rebekah graduated as a veterinary nurse in 2018 and brings plenty of passion and enthusiasm to the team.
What she loves most about veterinary nursing is giving animals all the love and attention they deserve, building relationships with clients, and the fact that no two days are ever the same.

When she's not caring for your furry family members, you'll find her spending time with her beloved cat Poppy 🐱, learning a brand-new skill on the ice rink ⛸️, or warming up with her favourite drink, a delicious hot chocolate β˜•

The days are getting longer, the flowers are starting to bloom, and there's a fresh feeling in the air... Spring has arrived! πŸŒΌβ˜€οΈ

For our pets, spring means more time exploring, sniffing, playing, and enjoying the great outdoors. It's the perfect season for adventures, fresh starts, and making wonderful memories with your furry family members.

As you enjoy the warmer weather, remember to keep an eye out for seasonal hazards such as toxic spring flowers, garden chemicals, and increased parasite activity and bees!

Meet the Team: Dr Eleanor!

We're excited to introduce the newest veterinarian to the Aldwins Road Vet Clinic team, Dr Eleanor!

Eleanor has been a vet since 2016 and loves that her job allows her to help the animals in our community. She also enjoys that every day brings new and interesting challenges, helping her find the best solutions for her patients' care.

When she's not at the clinic, you'll likely find her out exploring with her two very active ginger dogs, enjoying the great outdoors through tramping adventures and photography.

A few fun facts about Eleanor:
🐻 If she could be any animal for a day, she'd be an Alaskan brown bear, spending her time catching fish in the mountains.
🐧 Her favourite animal is the adorable little blue penguin -kororā.
Her go-to hot drink is a comforting chai tea... although she's happy with almost any tea!

We'd like to give a special shoutout to our wonderful patient, Jack! ❀️

Jack has been visiting us regularly while recovering from an injury to his toe, which means he's needed quite a few bandage changes. While some pets aren't so keen on repeat vet visits, Jax has made himself right at home! 🐱

He's always happy to see us, loves having a good chat (and has plenty of stories to tell!), and patiently sits through his bandage changes, especially when a tasty Churu is involved. 😸✨

Jax, you've been an absolute superstar throughout your treatment, and it's been a pleasure watching you each visit. Thank you for being such a brave, friendly, and entertaining patient!
