😺 Grooming is normal for cats — but excessive grooming can be a sign they’re feeling stressed or uncomfortable.
Cats may groom to self-soothe, but ongoing stress can lead to thinning fur, bald patches, or irritated skin.

Common triggers can include:
🐾 Changes at home
🐾 New pets or people
🐾 Noise or disruption
🐾 Conflict with other cats
🐾 Changes in routine

We find that Rupert is doing really well on a specific "Calm food" and his groin is looking fabulous today after being bald as a badger!! 😂👌

Support your cat by providing:
💛 Predictable routines
💛 Safe hiding spots
💛 Enrichment and play
💛 Plenty of resources around the home
💛 If no improvement medication, pheromones and dietary options can be a great option

I don't often pop up cats for rehoming, but Oscar is super special. I've been caring for him from kittenhood, but his family have had a really rough few months, so we want to make sure he finds his unicorn home 🏡

Pick up is from Belfast, Christchurch 🤗
Oscar is neutered, up to date with his flea/worming treatments and has just had a nail trim.

Here's some more info from Oscars family .....

"One and a half year-old Oscar needs to find a new loving home. He was my mum’s cat who has sadly passed away and due to my financial circumstances I can’t keep him. I want Oscar to go to someone who is gaga about cats! He is a really curious, quirky and loving cat. He likes to get involved in everything that’s going on.. he gets up to watch you clean your teeth, get in the kindling bucket when I set the fire, he hopped into shopping bags and loves to be carried around in them. When folding sheets he will hop into them and loves to be swung around gently. He gets super playful and short bursts and runs around super fast. He loves to sleep on your bed at night especially snuggled up on your shoulder with his head tucked into your neck. He loves other animals, dogs and cats. He has mostly lived inside so far due to a grumpy old cat who lives outside only but he is keen to investigate outside which I have just begun to let him do with the door left open to get used to it. He would need to stay inside for awhile before trialling outside as he would be very nervous with a new person only because outside is very new to him. If it doesn’t work out he must come back please we want to find the perfect forever home for him. Inquiries to Sandra 0277772127"

Surely she must be somewhere close by and feeling really scared and confused 💙
