Who needs a carrier when you can arrive in your very own pet stroller? 🐱

Guzzle came in for his dental check today, travelling in comfort in his cosy little ride!

It was Guzzle's first visit with us, and we absolutely loved meeting him and having him in the clinic. You're welcome back anytime Guzzle! 🩵

✨Staff member of the month. ✨

Say hi to Kellie! You’ve probably seen this familiar face around the clinic. Kellie is our Head Nurse and Acting Practice Manager, and we asked her a few fun questions so you can get to know her a little better!

✨What do you love most about your job?

Having owners satisfied with the care we provide to both the patients and the owners. I love seeing patients go home after they have been very unwell, knowing how much the whole team has worked to get them better.

🐾Tell us about your pets!

I have two cavalier King Charles Spaniels who are 1yr and 8 months old. They’re brothers- Winston is tricolour and Harry is Blenheim.

☕What’s your go-to coffee order or work snack?

My go-to coffee is a latte, and my favorite snack would have to be onion dip and chips!

🌟How do you spend your days off?

I spend my days off with my husband and four daughters- usually dancing, camping or basketball!

Our Dental promotion and giveaway have BOTH been extended until September 30th!🦷

✨Free dental checks
✨$100 OFF dental procedures for non-best for pet members
✨Dental giveaway- extended!

Olly's family recently took advantage of our dental promotion and booked him in for a preventative dental clean. Here's Olly's before and after- look at that lovely fresh smile! 💙

Regular dental care helps keep your pet's mouth healthy and comfortable. Regular cleans can also prevent dental problems and the need for tooth extractions.

If your pet is due for a dental check, now is the perfect time to book!

Today is a reminder to pause, check in and ask the people around as, "R U OK?" A conversation, a listening ear or simply letting someone know you're there can mean more than you know. 🩷

Our day was certainly brightened up by a very special visitor! 🐾
Breeze came in to see us in her adorable cherry raincoat and brought plenty of smiles with her!

Sometimes it's the little things that can brighten someone's day. So today, take a moment to check in with someone you care about.

Ask. Listen. Encourage action. Check in.

🐾Meet beautiful Obie! 🐾

Today Obie had a gastropexy alongside her spey.

A gastropexy attaches the stomach to the abdominal wall to significantly reduce the risk of it twisting- a life-threatening emergency known as GDV (bloat).

While it doesn't prevent bloat itself, it greatly reduces the risk of the stomach twisting. Deep-chested breeds such as Dobermans, Great Danes and German Shepherds are among those more prone to GDV.

For dogs at higher risk, performing a gastropexy during another planned abdominal surgery means only one anesthetic and recovery period is needed.

Obie is now recovering comfortably with our team and getting plenty of TLC! 🩷

Have a breed that's prone to GDV? Chat with our team about whether this could be suitable for your dog on 033832233

🌟Staff member of the month! 🌟
Each month we will be introducing you to one of the wonderful people behind our team! 🐾

This month, we're featuring a familiar face that many of you will know- one of our lovely vets, Dr Rachael!
We've asked Rachael a few questions so you can get to know the person behind the scrubs a little better!

✨What do you love most about your job?
Client education- explaining disease processes, diagnoses and treatments, and helping clients understand what's happening with their pets. And, of course... surgery!

🐾Tell us about your pets!
Kiwi is a 3-year-old Golden Retriever, Chinook is a 12-year-old Aussie/Pyrenees mix, and Callie is a 10-year-old Mini Schnauzer mix!
We also have 2 cats Cascade and Ichabod. All five were brought over from the states!

☕What's your go-to coffee order or work snack?
A flat white and any kind of dip and chips! Kiwi snacks are apparently WAY BETTER than American ones... although Cheez-Its are still very much missed! 🤣

🌏If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Japan! Mainly for the delicious ramen and sushi!

Keep an eye out next month when we introduce another member of our team!

🦷What's Hiding Underneath?
Healthy-looking teeth don't always tell the whole story.

These dental X-rays are a great example. An issue was identified that wasn't obvious from the surface, and the patient was referred to a specialist for further assessment.

This is why all our Stage 1 dentals include a full dental clean, polish, AND full-mouth dental X-rays! 🦷

Dental Month at Ourvets Parklands includes

✨FREE nurse dental checks
✨$100 off stage 1 dentals (non best for pet members)
✨PLUS go in the draw to WIN our dental month giveaway!

Not sure if your pet needs a dental? Book their FREE dental health check with our team and let's take a look!
