Fingers crossed the rain stays away until today's meeting is over. Three runners head over on this King's Birthday holiday.

RACE 4 - 1.25pm
BACK OF THE BUS - 4th 👍👍: Drawn well in gate 4, we would have liked a bit more rain for her but she has been working well leading into today and will only improve as the tracks get heavier. Craig Grylls takes the ride.

JUST THE BERRIES - 3rd 👌🏼👌🏼🙆🏼‍♀️: With the soft 5 track we elected to run her as one of the last 2yo races. She has been impressive in both her trials but race day experience will do her the world of good. Michael McNab rides from gate 6.

RACE 5 - 1.59pm- Abandoned due to wind.
HONEY BADGER : Runs in the open 1100mts as a lead up to the 1400mts WFA Stakes event in 3 weeks time. She is really starting to mature both physically & mentally and we can't fault her work.

A quiet day on the racing front with just the one runner.

RACE 7 - 3.06pm ( Listed)
CHURCHILLIAN : Running in her career best form at the moment and has travelled down well for the WFA over 1600mts. The step up in distance shouldn’t be a problem around the tight turning track with the benefit of gate 4.

TAURANGA RACES

The sun continues to shine as we head into winter. The track is currently a soft 5 which is unbelievable for this time of the year. We have 4 runners heading over.

RACE 1 - 12.00 pm
DEVIATION : - 1st 💥💥💥On debut from gate 7, he has ran some solid trials in preparation for today and will only improve with the race day experience under his belt.

RACE 3 - 1.18pm
PURE LOTUS : - 2nd 👏👏Drawn a touch sticky in gate 9 but the step up in distance should suit. Michael McNab stays on board and we hope to see a much improved run on his last start.

RACE 4 - 1.50pm
CAPRESE : - 5th - Another wide gate to contend with but she strips fitter and her work has been pleasing since her last start. She is more physically mature this prep but needs to draw some decent gates and have some luck come her way. Sam Collett stays in the saddle.

RACE 8 - 4.15pm
OPEN COUNTRY : - 2nd 👌🏼👌🏼Fresh up after a promising trial at Taupo. Comes into gate 6 after scratching's and claims the 2kgs with Sam McNab on board. Will possibly need the race day fitness but should be running home strong.

A busy weekend for the team with runners both at Ellerslie & Taranaki. The sun continues to shine throughout this amazing Autumn weather. Long may it continue.

ELLERSLIE

Race 1 - 12.00pm
VIA FONTANELLA - 4th 👍: On debut in the small competitive field of solid trial runners. She looks in fantastic condition and she will only improve on having the race day experience moving into her 3yo season.

RACE 3 - 1.10pm
ARTHUR : - 4th 👍Second up in another small field where he has drawn well in gate 3, he has taken natural improvement from his fresh up run and the better track conditions will suit where he should be a genuine each way chance.

RACE 5 - 2.32pm
COSMIC PURSUIT - 9th: A promising stayer who continues to handle this preparation in great order. Drawn a touch awkward in gate 10 but has the advantage of Sam McNab claiming the 2kgs. He should certainly be there abouts in the finish.

RACE 7 - 3.42pm
DARING PURSUIT - 6th : Second up since returning to NZ and has improved since his fresh up run after so long off the scene. He is feeling well and will be benefit from another race day start fitness wise.

OVERDRAWN - 7th 🙉: Runs in the bench mark 75 over 1400mts. Does have an awkward gate 11 to contend with, but after his last start win he is in solid form and capable of being competitive again despite carrying 59kgs.

RACE 2 - 12.53pm
DEL INQUENT - 6th : He has thrived since his last start win over 1600mts. The extra distance should suit and with Leah Hemi in the saddle hopefully we will see a repeat performance.

RACE 8 - 4.25pm
JUSTICE FOR ALL : - 2nd 👏👏Steps up to the 1400mts where she's drawn well in gate 2. The improved track conditions will benefit compared to her last start. Her work has been great and we hope to see a much improved performance today.

HASTINGS RACES

The racing fraternity are buzzing to be going back to the Bay. We wish them a successful meeting after the down time with recent track developments. The truck heads down with four runners :

RACE 1 - 12.15pm
COUNTACH : On debut after some positive trial experiences. Michael McNab rides from gate 5 where he is capable of a cheeky race fresh up.

IRISH FLUTE: Another fresh up over the 1400mts and will only improve as she steps up towards 1600mts deeper into her prep. She’s feeling very well and will benefit from the trip away.

RACE 3 - 1.28pm
ASHOKA : Unfortunately drawn wide where he will need some luck from gate 9. He has matured nicely this prep and his trackwork has been of a high standard.

RACE 4 - 2.04pm
CADAQUES : On debut over the 1200mts after some solid trials. He is a strong mature type and with some race day experience under his belt he’ll be one to follow.
