Wow, it's been a week of freezing frosts but beautiful sunshine. Thank goodness for heat pumps to keep all the cats nice and warm. We're moving into a particularly busy August and September with many long stay guests whilst their owners head over to warmer climates. Christmas is also very busy so if you haven't already, let me know if you need space. I will always do my best to fit you in but you may need to start out on a wait-list 😬.

It's cold! The heat pumps have been keeping the cats nice and warm overnight, Cleo's had the treat of a heat pad day and night as there's not much natural insulation on our 19 year old guest. And then as soon as the sun is back out, so are the cats and loving every moment of it 😻

Well it's been a busy old couple of weeks with Matariki and school holidays but we've emptied back out a lot over the past couple of days. That means lots of cleaning out, washing, and setting up for the next lot of furry felines arriving over the coming week.

If anyone is thinking of taking a break in September I recommend you book in as soon as possible. We've got a high number of long stay visitors right throughout the month - we're not fully booked but we're pretty busy so please try not to leave it to the last moment.

I have quite a few very timid cats at the moment, first time in a cattery plus naturally timid. It is one of the most rewarding parts of this job, reassuring them that they are okay, and slowly seeing their confidence and trust grow. From hiding and looking very scared, to coming out for attention, I love it. 😻😻

Hi all, a bit of an apology with the naming of some of the cats in the photos with this post. I have a few cats that are very similar in colour and markings and I may have mixed up a couple of them. Normally I go back out and double check but I'm sitting on the couch by the fire and it's dark and cold outside 😁 I may also have mixed up Bento and Chilli. Oh dear, not very good of me at all and I'm sorry. But I promise they've all had plenty of attention and cuddles! 😻😻

Jeepers it was cold this morning. I'm loving the sunny days but not so much the frosty mornings. But don't worry, the Cattery heat pumps have been busy keeping the cats nice and warm! And they all have plenty of snuggly blankets and warm beds to sleep in.
