We are looking for the owners of this sweetheart 🤍

Found on Battys Road; opposite Landscaping driveway. He is an ENTIRE MALE with NO microchip. He has possibly been involved in an accident with a car and is at SVC receiving the care he needs 🖤

There is the possibility that he is wild as he isn’t overly accustomed to human touch. But we are putting the word out in case he has a family searching for him. Please call the clinic for more details 💚

🥕🐰 DID YOU KNOW 🐰🥕

Rabbits should NEVER be fasted — even before a surgery or anaesthetic!!

Rabbits have a specialised digestive system, they are hindgut fermenters - meaning their large intestine is home to lots of helpful bacteria that ferment fibre into nutrients 🥬

Here’s the unusual part - rabbits produce special soft droppings called ‘caecotrophs’ which they eat straight from their bums… These aren’t like any ordinary poo - they contain important nutrients; including microbial proteins and vitamins which the rabbit would otherwise miss out on 💩 🐰

This is why fibre and regularly feeding is SO important to keep the gut moving and support healthy digestion. When a rabbit stops eating, that movement can slow down, potentially leading to — GI Stasis; a painful and potentially life-threatening condition.

Here is the lovely Mickey from the SPCA; enjoying fresh picked kale and celery courtesy of the SVC veggie garden — because nothing says “five star dining ⭐️” like freshly picked greens.

We’re on the hunt for pre-loved towels!

If you have any old towels tucked away in the cupboard, we’d loved to give them a second life here in clinic. We do our best to wash and reuse towels wherever possible, but unfortunately some patients and situations don’t always allow for reusing - so we are always in need of more 💚

Used linens can be dropped off during our clinic open hours of -
Weekdays: 8am - 6pm
Saturday: 9am - 4pm
Sunday: 9am - 2pm

To every client who followed us to our new clinic; every new family who has trusted us with their pets, and everyone who has shared life’s big moments with us these past 12 months - thank you.

We’ve celebrated wagging tails, tiny new arrivals, successful recoveries, and we’ve also had the privilege of helping many families through difficult goodbyes. Being trusted to care for your pets through every stage of their lives is something we never take for granted 🤍

Urgent message for cat owners - we have more Snip 'n' Chip vouchers available now, and kittens like these demonstrate why desexing is so important.

We get so many litters like these coming through the doors of our Centres every day 💔 Sick, unwanted, and struggling - and sadly, not all of them make it. While two of this litter recovered and were adopted into loving homes, one was just too sick and didn't pull through 😞

By desexing cats, we can stop unwanted litters and prevent suffering before it occurs. Our Snip 'n' Chip vouchers help cat owners get their cat desexed and microchipped for just $30 🙏

From Wednesday 15 July, we’re working with local participating veterinary clinics to offer this service to cat owners who may be struggling. We’d like to give a huge shoutout to these vets for helping us to make this possible.
