My seven year old Boxer dog used to limp and after a range of procedures and examinations nothing could be found. Brett Christian of Henderson Vets recommended Big & Small’s Joint Flex as a remedy for Jackson. I have seen a big improvement over time in his mobility. He can’t run around like a mad thing anymore, and I do have to restrict any explosive sprinting at pigeons and rabbits. However he can walk and canter without a limp. Some tips when choosing a Dog Shampoo that is good for your dog.

Dogs love rolling in all sorts of stuff, especially dead things or poo. If your dog lives in the house with you, this can be challenging to get the smells out, so dog shampoo is obviously the answer....

As our dogs age, things that were once effortless, become an effort. Jumping into their favourite chair is no longer possible, running becomes a slow stiff walk, and lying down is done with a groan. Many dogs are living much longer because of advances in medicine and animal care, but on the downside that longevity increases the odds that they will suffer from some sort of degenerative joint disease or arthritis.

As we move into warmer weather we tend to exercise with our pets more, especially in the weekends. This impacts on joint function as seen by stiffness in the mornings.

Did you know that dogs have around 18 muscles responsible for moving their ears? These help them to change the direction of their ears slightly to hear noises around them better, and play a really big part in telling us how our dogs are feeling. A lot of a dog’s body language is expressed through what their ears are doing so a dog’s ears are vital in helping them communicate both with us and other dogs.
