Murphy came to see me after a pretty uncomfortable skin flare-up.
His mum was understandably worried โ he was itchy, irritated, and scratching a lot.
Rather than jumping straight into pharmaceuticals (and the potential side effects that can come with them), she wanted to explore another option firstโฆ
๐จ Laser therapy
After assessing Murphy, I couldnโt see any reason why we couldnโt give it a go firstโ and honestly, he was such an awesome dude through it all.
Total champ for his sessions ๐
After just a couple of treatments targeting his red, inflamed skin:
โ๏ธ The redness started to settle
โ๏ธ The itching reduced significantly
โ๏ธ And most importantlyโฆ he looked so much more comfortable
We also supported him alongside his treatments with:
๐ฟ Ozone gel on the areas that had become a bit raw from scratching
๐ฟ Deer velvet to help support his immune system and skin health
๐ก Laser therapy is incredible for calming inflammation โ and in Murphyโs case, it meant we could avoid going down the pharmaceutical route unnecessarily
And that matters.
Because sometimes itโs not about never using medicationโฆ
Itโs about knowing when we might not need to.
โ ๏ธ Always remember โ if an animal presents to me with something that requires veterinary attention, I will always recommend that straight away.
My treatments are about working with the bodyโฆ
supporting itโฆ
and giving it the best chance to heal ๐
