I’m police checked, reliable, and take great pride in caring for homes and pets as if they were my own. During the week I work as a teacher, so we’re generally out 9am–3pm, then home with the pets for afternoons, evenings, and weekends. A reliable Wi-Fi connection is essential for us.

Just a reminder, not always enough just to partially open car windows 😏

The reports of dogs being left inside hot cars continue to roll in, despite our very best efforts to educate dog owners of the sometimes horrific outcomes ❌

In just one recent case, SPCA were called to a car in Christchurch where we were able to remove a dog just in time. The temperature inside had reached over 49°C. It was about 28°C outside the car and the owner had cracked the windows, believing this would make the car cool enough.

In another recent case, our Inspectors were able to remove a dog from a hot vehicle. This owner had left their dog with a bowl of water, also thinking this ensured the dog's safety. The dog had knocked over the water bowl, and was luckily removed from the car by our team.

The only way to ensure their safety? Leave them safely at home, with a friend or family member, or bring them outside the car with you.
