The Mush Room Co. cares about farming sustainably. Everything we grow is done with care for the health of our customers and the environment we are a part of. Availability may depend on season but in general we feature the following:
Year Round:
- Pleurotus pulmonarius - Phoenix Oyster. Big, bold and beautiful oyster mushrooms. The perfect all around mushroom! We specialise in growing wild captured cultures unique to NZ.
- Lentinula edodes - Shiitake. Fleshy, plump and absolutely loaded with umami.
- Cyclocybe parasitica - Tawaka. An endemic NZ mushroom that is firm, snappy and packed with meaty flavor.
- Hericium novae-zealandiae - NZ Coral Tooth. An incredible looking native mushroom unlike any other. Earthy and succulent with an inherent sweetness similar to that found in scallops or crab. Warmer Months:
- Pleurotus djamor - Pink Oyster. Crispy, snappy and toasty when cooked. Often used as a bacon substitute in meat free diets. Colder Months:
- Flammulina velutipes - Enoki. Our Enoki are great as a topper for any meal. They're great pan fried in a bit of garlic, added to soup or even deep fried as a bit of crunch to finish off a dish.

We are regularly at the Marlborough Farmer's Market but also offer pickup and local delivery around Blenheim. You can reach us at any time via Messenger. Please contact us about our mid-week mushroom availability and delivery option.
