This week is Veterinary Nurse appreciation week, so we want to give a very special shout-out to Connor, Rebecca, and Ani — our wonderful veterinary nursing team! 🩺

The clinic truly couldn’t run without the hard work our nurses put in. From the moment the doors open until the end of a busy day, they are constantly working behind the scenes to keep everything moving, our patients cared for, and our whole team supported.

Thank you for the early mornings, the late nights, the endless cleaning, the crazy cases, the tears, the laughter, and for somehow always finding the time to give every patient that extra cuddle when they need it most.

Our nurses celebrate all the happy moments with us — the patients who pull through, the new puppies and kittens, and the families who get to take their beloved pet’s home. They also share in all the difficult moments, supporting our patients, their families and each other when things don’t go the way we hoped.

Veterinary nursing takes compassion, resilience, knowledge, patience and an enormous amount of heart — and we are incredibly lucky to have Connor, Rebecca, and Ani as part of our team ❤️

Thank you for everything you do every single day. We see you, we appreciate you, and we truly couldn’t do it without you!

ATTENTION – This Saturday the 10th of October we are open but there will be NO VETERINARIAN ONSITE. This means we will be able to sell over the counter products (such as food, flea treatment etc) but there will be no capacity for vet consultations. Nurse consults may be booked at the discretion of the staff members that are working.

If you have any urgent problems that require veterinary care while we are open our staff will be able to offer advise on where you can go to be seen if required.

Thank you everyone for your understanding – we truly do have the best clients, and we appreciate each and every one of you 💕

August is pet dental awareness month and to celebrate we have 20% off routine dental cleanings and routine dental x-rays during the months of August and September as long as they are booked in August 🦷

Dental disease is one of the most common health issues we see in veterinary medicine, with 70% of cats and 80% of dogs being affected by periodontal disease by the time they are 2 years old. Brushing your pets’ teeth daily with pet-safe toothpaste is one of the best ways to help prevent periodontal disease from developing - just like how we brush our own teeth every day! We stock a range of dental products including toothpaste/brushes, dental food, water additives and dental chews to help aid your pet’s dental hygiene.

Pets don't often display obvious symptoms of dental pain but some signs to look for that indicate your pet may already be suffering from periodontal disease include bad breath, red/inflamed gums that bleed easily, plaque and calculus build up on the teeth, and wobbly or missing teeth. Left untreated, periodontal disease can cause significant pain and lead to other health complications (such as kidney disease) affecting their quality of life.

Treatment of dental disease includes a teeth cleaning (scale and polish) under anaesthetic by our veterinarian to remove plaque and calculus off the teeth to prevent harmful bacteria from being trapped under the gums. Our veterinarian may also recommend dental x-rays to see if any teeth need extracting.

If you think your pet needs a dental check-up, give us a call to chat with one of our friendly staff members about your options.

*20% off dental cleaning and x-rays ONLY, discount does not apply to dental extractions
