I haven't posted in a while — time for an update!✨️

I'm back from my practicum in Washington State, USA.

I was privileged to learn from Kim Bauer, an expert in canine and equine acupressure (among other areas).
I truly enjoyed working alongside classmates from all over the US who'd come to learn animal acupressure at Northwest School of Animal Massage.

I'm not far from completing my case studies to achieve my certification in canine acupressure, and after that I'll be preparing for the national board certification in canine acupressure 😀

My wonderful hubby organised a wedding anniversary gift for me ❤️ These fantastic books will support my studies and work 📖

Georgie came in for K-Laser therapy with her sister Abby-Rose, who joined as a support dog — these two have a very special bond.
Both girls wore their laser safety glasses throughout the session, because eye protection is very important. No one wants an eye injury — and that goes for our four-legged patients too!

It is wonderful to be a part of a multidisciplinary team for Georgie's rehabilitation 🐶🤍

Moose had a great time after his K-Laser session today. He loved being on top of our bean bag!
His family has noticed significant changes since his rehabilitation began. He is more engaged, happy, active, and playful.
This is the result of a multidisciplinary, multimodal approach — and that includes his dedicated family, who put in a lot of effort doing his prescribed exercises at home.

Tyke came today for his third session of K-Laser.

➡️The first photo is before K-Laser therapy.

Tyke also has his regular K-Laser sessions for his musculoskeletal conditions. It helps his to stay active and enjoy life 🐶❤️

Karlie is receiving a Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy. It helps to balance membrane potentials on a cellular level. She falls asleep during the treatment on the big size PEMF mat. 😴

After hydrotherapy sessions, Karlie has K-Laser therapy and/or Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy here at Wild Dingo Wellness. These two are great modalities to manage her osteoarthritis in multiple joints. At least two hour gap is used between PEMF and K-Laser therapies.

It is not advised to use PEMF concurrently with lasering. At least 2-hour gap is recommended between the modalities to avoid interference as they have different mechanism of action (recommendation from Physical Rehabilitation for Veterinary Technicians and Nurses Modalities Part 3: Electrotherapy and Electromagnetic Therapy. Julia E. Tomplinson. Second edition, 2024).
