Set in a beautiful pine forest near Bethells Beach, Woodlands Dog Retreat provides your dog with over 10 acres to run and play in their natural habitat. We are a small private facility who believe freedom to socialise in an open outdoor environment is essential to a dog's well-being and calm state of mind. We offer specialized training and daycare services. Our caring and experienced staff offer the highest level of care, love and attention for your dog. PICK UP & DROP OFF
We understand how busy life is so we take the stress out of your day by providing a safe & secure pick up and drop off service in a comfortable air-conditioned van. You do not need to be home; you simply give us instructions on how to reach your dog. At Woodlands Dog Retreat, while we give dogs the s**ce to run and play in their natural habitat, we encourage balanced respectful behaviour. We practise calm self-control and do not allow high intensity controlling play. This results in focussed dogs that are respectful to each other and their trainers. We want dogs to feel safe and secure in a controlled environment where we can build confidence and help develop their skills in a tranquil outdoor s**ce. A large indoor covered area provides shelter during bad weather as well as a great place for quiet afternoon downtime & specialised training. Mature pine trees offer shade in the hotter months with 2 natural ponds for dogs to cool off and have some fun splash time.

We’ve had flying leaps, serious toy chasing, and some pretty legendary fetch catches happening all day long. Safe to say these pups are squeezing every single drop of fun out of their daycare days! 🐾🎾💛

🐾 FRIDAY FUN FACT! 🐾

👀 DID YOU KNOW DOGS HAVE THREE EYELIDS?! 🐶

Yep, you read that right! 😍
Dogs have a third eyelid called the nictitating membrane, which sits in the inner corner of their eye.

✨ Its job is to help protect the eye, keep it moist and spread tears across the surface. It’s usually tucked away out of sight, so you might not even know your furry friend has one! 🐾💚

It was an absolute shocker of a weather day today, but that just meant getting creative with our indoor fun! 🌧️🛒✨

Between wheelbarrow taxi rides through the undercover arena, indoor play bows, and couch hangs, nobody let the rain ruin the mood. And the second we got a tiny, rain free pocket of time? The whole pack bolted out into the fields for a lightning fast sprint! 💨🐕

Who needs sunshine when you've got VIP wheelbarrow transport? 🐾💛

New friend alert! Everyone meet Davey, an almost 6 month old rescue pup who started his daycare journey with us today! 🌟🐶

This handsome brindle boy brought the best energy from minute one. He jumped straight into making friends, getting to know the pack, and investigating all the smells around the farm.

Welcome to the Woodlands family, sweet Davey! We can't wait to watch you learn, play, and grow alongside your new besties 🎾🐾🌾
