🎉We turned 7 this week.✨

It started with Zephyr. We adopted her first, and Teddy followed not long after. Between the two of them we learned pretty quickly that nothing we bought was quite right. So we stopped buying it. We make it.

Seven years on, Joe still hand splices every lead himself using the same techniques he started with. What we didn’t expect was all of you. The photos you send us, the dogs we’ve watched grow up in our collars, the people who came back for a second and a third. Thank you, honestly. Seven years is a long time for a small business and you’re the reason we got here.

So we’re celebrating the way we always do. The mystery sale is back. You pick the size, the colour is completely random, and you find out what you got when it turns up at your door. Collars are $23 and leashes start at $35.

Limited numbers, so once they’re gone, they’re gone. Thanks for seven good years. Here’s to the next lot.

Purple carabiners are back! 💜 It’s been a while. A lot of you have been waiting on this one, and we’re sorry it took so long.

Most of you know Zephyr. She’s the greyhound this whole business was built around, and we lost her in April to osteosarcoma. We had ten days between the diagnosis and the day we let her go.

I’ve wanted to write about it ever since. It’s taken me until now to find the courage, and what finally got me there was seeing how many of you have been going through the same thing lately.

During those ten days I spent hours searching for other people who’d been through it — partly to understand what was coming, but mostly just to feel less alone in it.

So this is mine, for whoever’s looking now. The decision, her last day, and where the grief has landed four months on.
