To the group members whose important posts have been awaiting approval for months, I sincerely apologize. My absence from Facebook, from March 2024 onwards, was due to severe online harassment and bullying from a group of individuals. This harassment was so intense that I felt I had no choice but to completely remove myself from social media to protect my mental health.

Tragically, this meant many urgent posts regarding injured magpies, including a particularly distressing case of a wounded juvenile in Botany, went unapproved. I am deeply heartbroken by the suffering this caused and the potential loss of life that may have resulted. I had no idea these posts weren't being approved until now.

I've returned to Facebook and will be actively monitoring the group to ensure all posts receive timely attention. I'm committed to supporting our shared goal of helping magpies, and I hope we can move forward with a renewed focus on collaboration and kindness. The well-being of these birds is my priority. I am open to welcoming like-minded individuals who share a passion for magpie welfare.

While I understand that some individuals may engage in negativity and conflict online, I refuse to let their actions derail our efforts. Their behaviour is unacceptable, and I urge everyone to remember that compassion and respect are essential in any community dedicated to wildlife conservation.

Regards,
