So good spending some time in the sun with these two today to break up their day before the parents got home. Super chilled today so Nelson could sniff and cruise at his pace being an older gentleman and and Bella got some free long line time with covering our normal training when we come across other dogs in public. ☺️

Beautiful Kara. She’s been doing some amazing work in our sessions. We are working on disengaging from other dogs she sees and staying focused on the handler and impulse control such as sit and down stays. This helps with her building up control to stop and think about situations before being so quick to react and to go past threshold.

Double training for gorgeous Cara and for the wonderful Amy who’s doing Uni placement with me. Amy has amazing handling skills already and a good understanding of behavioural from her own personal dogs and now some of her new clients dogs. It’s really awesome seeing her potential as a up coming trainer and being able to share what iv learnt over the years. Cara did amazing! First session and she wowed us. Disengaging from big triggers for her arousal like other dogs as she just wants to rush over to them to play and also when she gets triggered from things like reactive dogs rushing their gates. The goal is to build her up to be able to get closer to other dogs without going pass threshold as well as ignoring cats in public. 🙌

Massive Thankyou to .hounds (Amy) who’s doing her Uni placement with me getting most of these incredible pics 😍 it’s so nice being able to get some pics of me in the moment doing what I love! Here is a mix of some of my walking and training clients from the week. Missing a few gorgeous pups so will need to get some goodies of them this week to add 🙌 was a very successful week for training clients and also just having the sunshine for my walking clients!

Do you have a puppy you’re struggling with? In your home or out in public? This wee boy has just started training with me. He became very overwhelming for the owners and they struggled to have him inside the house. We worked on teaching him to be calm inside and not setting him up to fail. We also went over learning about the marker (marking point of behaviour you like) followed with reinforcement. We also worked on engagement and practicing what to do when he was jumping up.
