A break down on some of the work I do when working with reactive dogs. Had to cut the video a bit short each end due to it being too long. At the start of this session Willow had a couple larger dogs approach us and she did really well considering but it did leave her feeling a bit more sensitive after so we made her training criteria a bit easier today to create positive outcomes around triggers.
At the end of the video you can see she’s happy to get up and move away from the small dog who’s stopped behind us on the foot path. When working with reactive dogs it’s super important to give them options to move out of situations they don’t feel comfortable in to make good choices.
