Wow! What a fantastic turnout for our Equine Laminitis Seminar last night! 🤩 🐎

A huge thank you to our superstar vet Rivers for sharing her knowledge and expertise with us, and to the wonderful Lindsey Field for educating us, entertaining us, and sharing her incredible wealth of knowledge. We’re so grateful to you both for making the evening so informative and enjoyable! 🐴

🐑 🍼 Got a bottle-fed lamb? Keep an eye out for abomasal bloat.

Abomasal bloat can be a serious problem in young lambs. It happens when gas builds up in the abomasum (the fourth stomach), causing it to inflate and putting pressure on surrounding organs.

One of the best ways to help prevent it is by feeding yoghurtised milk replacer. The process reduces the amount of sugar available to harmful bacteria and introduces beneficial bacteria to help keep the gut balanced. Feeding the mixture cold can also help reduce the risk.

If your lamb is already looking bloated, don’t wait — give us a call as this is an emergency.
