What a day at Papamoa for Mt Maunganui Jumpers Champs on 1st August!

The weather was BEAUTIFUL! But the competition was fierce, with just about everyone in the dog world attending. And a fun day at the beach had by all!

Only one placing for the day (I said the competition was fierce!):
- Sugar & Jenni came 2nd in Jumpers C (300s). NSDTC’s sweetest pooch 🥰

Clear rounds from Growl & Claire, Rex & Ricky, Sugar & Jenni, Tink & Jenni, Tequila & Natasha and Indy & Andrew.

Well done to all our NSDTC competitors!

The Rotorua DTC Flygility Tournament was held in Rotorua over the weekend.
Freezing temperatures but luckily no rain, saw a fun day had by all. North Shore DTC had a small attendance, due to illnesses and injuries.
The dogs who attended put up a great display. Hula, got a First Ribbon in Beginners and a Runner Up Ribbon in Intermediate.
It is such a rewarding sport, knowing your dogs love the events as much as the owners do.
If you have a dog who loves retrieving and you are interested in giving Flygility a go, you are always welcome to come to one of our training nights on Wednesday from 5.30pm

Despite being the depths of winter NSDTC Agility have been busy with events…

JDT Benefit Event Champs on 4/5 July:

Cheryl and the lovely Islay came 2nd in Jumpers B (500). Yay Islay!

Clear rounds were had by both Cheryl & Islay and Julia & Kira. Kira had 4x Jumpers A (smalls) clear rounds! What a star!

Wanganui Champs on 10/11/12 July:
A freezing event! Sunday’s start was even delayed while the contacts thawed out! Our poor Aucklander pooches! But great results….

Neo & Katja came 3rd in Starters (600s)
Kira & Juila came 3rd in Seniors (smalls), and,
Maggie & Philippa came 2nd in Jumpers C (500s), 3rd in Jumpers C and 3rd in Starters. What a run for the tough little Kelpie!

Clear rounds were had by Maggie & Philippa and Kira and Julia.

Well done everyone braving the freezing conditions!

June was a busy Agility Eventing month despite the nip in the air. Close to home we had the Counties Ribbon at Te Hihi on 13 June. A popular one for NSDTC as it is a chill event only matched by the weather!
Kira & Celine, Indy & Andrew came in 1st in Starters and Novice (smalls), we had 2x 2nds with Osuno & Debbie and Growl & Claire for Elementary B and Jumpers C, and a 3rd for Growl for Starters (smalls). Plus heaps of clear rounds!

For our intrepid pups travelling further afield…

Central Hawkes Bay Champs on 6/7th June.
Kira & Julia took out 1st and 3rd for Jumpers A (smalls) and Quinn & Julia came 2nd for Jumpers B (600s). Poodle Power!

Hawera (indoors) Champs on 20/21st June.
Sugar & Jenni came 2nd in Starters (smalls)
Kira & Julia came 2nd in Intermediate (smalls), and
Aiko & Lesley came 3rd in Novice (smalls).
With clear rounds from Sugar, Kira and Saintrose. Small and Mighty!
