As we have previously notified our clients, the Airport Pet Hotel will not continue operating beyond the middle of January 2017, as the entire property has been sold. It is a great sadness for me that the Airport Pet Hotel will no longer operate after almost 20 years. However, all those years ago my aim was to provide a unique concept in boarding kennels for dogs and cats which would show the way of the future for other operators. The Airport Pet Hotel set new standards and a challenge for the pet boarding industry. I am proud to have been part of the improvement of care for companion animals in the Auckland area. THE GOOD NEWS IS … we have located a building in Aintree Avenue, Airport Oaks where we will set up a business called the “Airport Doggie Day Care Centre”. I shall leave this business in the very capable hands of Julie and the other staff of the Airport Pet Hotel. Thank you one and all for your support and friendship over the many years. I am retiring to Oamaru with my little clan and hope to dedicate my time and energies to them all. Yours truly, Christine.
