Last Friday we completed a private cremation for a lovely couple who wanted to stay and watch while their furbaby was cremated. This enabled them to take their furbabies cremains home in their chosen urn straight after the cremation. They explained this was very important to them.
If your furbaby passes away and you wish to have a private cremation contact Pets@Rest and we will organise everything for you. Private cremations are a great way of giving you and your family precious time to say your farewells before the cremation, then at the end of the cremation process you to take your beloved furbaby home with you. One year ago we took a leap of faith and became the owners of Peaceful Paws.

What an incredible, humbling and emotional year it has been!

Over the past 12 months, we’ve had the privilege of helping over 230 beloved pets leave this world peacefully, surrounded by the people who loved them most. Behind every number is a unique story, a lifetime of memories, and a family who trusted us to care for one of the hardest moments they’ll ever experience.

We never take that trust for granted.

To every family who welcomed us into your homes, shared stories about your best friend, cried with us, laughed with us, and allowed us to be part of your pet’s final journey — thank you. It is a privilege beyond words.

Why would families who have just lost their fur-baby accept a cremation or aquamation of their beloved family member taking 4 to 6 days or more before their pets cremains are returned to the family. We are seeing a lot of competition setting up in Auckland who from our perspective offer very poor service levels.
