🐾 Meet our newest vet, Dr Zak!

We’re so excited to welcome Zak to The Strand Vet team!

Zak graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2022 and has since worked exclusively in companion animal practice across London and Glasgow. He has a particular interest in surgery and dentistry, and is passionate about providing knowledgeable, thoughtful and compassionate care for both pets and the people who love them.

Interestingly, Zak’s earliest memory of becoming a vet started when he was just seven years old, during a visit to New Zealand — so we’re very happy that his journey has now brought him back here!

Outside the clinic, Zak enjoys reading, bouldering, going to the gym and exploring New Zealand with his Greyhound-Saluki, Zeke.

This Thursday, 27 August, marks a very momentous day at The Strand Vet. Our wonderful founder, Dr Megan Alderson, will be working her last shift on the floor before beginning her well-deserved retirement. 🥹

Megan has been such a huge part of The Strand Vet and has cared for generations of pets and their families over the many years she’s been working here. We’d love your help to give her the very special send-off she deserves. 💚
