🐾 Happy Dog Appreciation Day! 🐾

At True Vets Ormiston, we believe pets aren’t just pets — they’re part of the family. ❤️🐶

They share our homes, our adventures and our everyday lives. They’re our companions, our comfort, our exercise buddies and, quite often, the ones who know us best. Caring for them means recognising just how important they are to the families who love them.

Today, we also want to give a special shout-out to the incredible working dogs who dedicate their lives to helping people and protecting our communities. 🐕‍🦺💙

We’re very proud of our close relationship with the MPI Detector Dog Programme and the Guide Dogs of Blind Low Vision NZ (BLVNZ). It’s a privilege for our team to play a part in caring for these remarkable dogs, whose health and wellbeing are so important to the work they do.

Whether they’re a much-loved family companion, a working dog with an important job, or both — today we celebrate them all. 🐾

Today we’re celebrating International Guide Dog Day 🐾💛

At True Vets Ormiston, we’re incredibly proud to be part of the New Zealand Blind Low Vision breeding programme — helping raise the next generation of amazing guide dogs who go on to change lives every single day.

These dogs are more than companions — they’re partners, navigators, and a source of independence and confidence for their handlers. Being involved in their journey right from the beginning is something truly special to our team.

Here’s to the future guide dogs in our care, and to the incredible work of Blind Low Vision NZ 👏

BLVNZ are running a fundraiser today and your support will go a long way!
Every dollar donated today will be matched by a group of generous donors to help us fetch the training and gear needed to turn these clever pups into life-changing guide dogs.

We couldn’t let World Veterinarians Day pass without celebrating our incredible team 💚🐾🩵

25 April was World Veterinarian Day, so we took a moment today to recognise the dedication, compassion, and hard work our vets bring every single day. A special shoutout to Dr Adri, who went above and beyond decorating this amazing veterinary-themed cake for the team 🩺

From early mornings to late nights, our vets are always there for your pets — and we’re so grateful to have such a passionate group here at True Vets Ormiston.

Here’s to the people who care for those who can’t tell us what’s wrong 🩵
