🐾 Meet Ruby! 🐾

This adorable little West Highland Terrier came to see us at Carevets Mt Wellington for her spay procedure. 💕✂️

She was given lots of cuddles and care while she was with us, and we’re happy to see her on her way to a healthy recovery. 🐶💗

Piggy the gentle giant 💌

Even though he’s blind, he’s stolen the heart of many members here at Carevets Mt Wellington with his quirky personality and healing hugs. We can vouch for this incredibly sweet greyhound 🥹

Due to some unfortunate circumstances, he is now looking for his new forever home 🥺💓🏠

Piggy recently lost his wonderful Dad and needs a happy home ❤️‍🩹

He's considered to be one of the most charming greyhounds in New Zealand ❤️

Are you ready for a super affectionate, friendly and confident houndy?

Piggy is 7 years old (turning 8 soon), but don’t let that fool you, he is still very much ready for adventures!

He’s clean, knows how to live in a house and adapts beautifully to new environments. He’ll also amaze you with his ability to navigate the world, even though he is mostly blind.

He’s not your quiet, keep-to-himself kind of greyhound. This boy has a voice! He also loves company and would be happiest with either another calm, friendly/patient female dog to hang out with or a human who works from home or is retired.

He’s affectionate, confident, curious and wonderfully adaptable; the kind of houndy who wants to be involved in whatever is going on.

There are a couple of things his new family needs to know. No cats, please. And because he is a substantial noodle horse with a serious leaning habit (we’re talking full-body, I have decided you are furniture now levels of leaning) he would be best suited to a home without young children. Older children, 10+, would be a better fit.

While we look for the right forever home for this very special boy, we also need to find Piggy a foster home from 14 October.

This is a pretty big change for him after the sudden loss. A foster family would give him somewhere safe and loving to land while he finds his feet and we work towards finding his forever home.

If you aren’t ready to adopt but would love to help a houndy out, fostering Piggy could be a wonderful way to make a real difference. ❤️

This handsome 6-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel came to visit us at Carevets Mt Wellington for his castration. 🐶💙

Archie was such a sweet little patient and was very well cared for by our team while he was with us. 🥰 We hope you’re back to your playful self very soon, Archie! 🐾💕
