We have found this gorgeous little boy and looking for his owner! 💙

📍 Found near Kirkbride Road, Mangere Bridge

He is approximately 4 months old, appears to be a Brindle Bullmastiff with a beautiful coat. Despite his situation, he is the gentlest little soul.

Here's what we know:
❌ Not microchipped
❌ Not neutered
⚖️ Underweight
👁️ Mild inflammation in his right eye.

Snowball came into rescue after being found injured, dirty, and shaken from an attack. With love, warmth, and care, recovering beautifully and slowly learning that people can be trusted again 🥺✨

Kia ora AAR whanau

All of the pet food and supplies have now been gifted out. We were absolutely inundated with requests and couldn’t reply to everyone we received hundreds of messages, calls, and emails.

To keep things fair, we selected recipients based on their circumstances and randomly. We truly wish we had enough for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and aroha. 💛

🌱 Our New Kaupapa – Community Plant Nursery

We’re now building a community plant nursery to help fund desexing, vet care, and our future shelter and garden sanctuary. This nursery will support both animal wellbeing and native biodiversity.

🌿 We’re collecting:

Pet‑safe plants (lavender, catnip, mint, basil, parsley, chamomile, calendula, sunflowers, nasturtium, dandelion, plantain, pūhā, chickweed, strawberries)

Native plants (harakeke, h**e, carex, kōwhai, mānuka, kānuka, pōhutukawa dwarf, karamū, akeake, rengarenga, kawakawa, pūriri, tī kōuka)

If you have spare plants, cuttings, pots, soil, or garden supplies, we’d love to repurpose them for this kaupapa.

We’re clearing space at the refuge and have a large amount of sealed dog food, dental treats, and pet gear available for anyone who needs them. All items have Best‑Before dates between 2025 and 2027, which means they are still safe and fresh to use.

Best‑Before dates relate to quality, not safety. Dry dog food and treats remain stable for 12–24 months past BB when sealed and stored correctly. Every item listed below is sealed, clean, and suitable for donation.

🎨 Description: Grey domestic long-haired cat
📍 Last seen: 3 February – Ada Street / Middleton Road / Bassett Road area, Remuera
💛 Temperament: Very nervous and skittish around strangers; a lap cat at home
🏠 Behaviour: Not known to roam – likely hiding close to home
🔎 Microchipped: Yes

Wolf may be hiding quietly in garages, sheds, under decks, or bushes, especially if frightened. Please check any enclosed spaces on your property.

FOUND: Two Domestic Rabbits – New Lynn, Auckland 🐰🐰

Two young domestic bunnies were found in the New Lynn area.

• 1 male, 1 female
• Approx. 12–14 weeks old
• Friendly, clearly handled pets (not wild)
They were likely dumped or escaped and are currently safe.

If you believe these rabbits belong to you, please message with photos or a description to confirm ownership.

If no owner is found, we will be seeking experienced rabbit homes if unclaimed after 7 days

⚠️ Please note: males and females must be kept separate to prevent early pregnancy.

Please share to help these babies get home or into safe care. 💚

Important next steps separate them immediately (rabbits can breed from 12 weeks).

Feed unlimited hay, fresh water, and leafy greens.

This gorgeous boy was found in the Pukekohe area and is now safe in loving foster care while we work to locate his family. 💚

🐇 Description:
A large, calm rabbit with white fur and soft grey markings on his ears, nose, and back. He was not microchipped when found and appears to be a much-loved pet.

We will hold him for 7 days to allow time for his owner to come forward.
If unclaimed, he will be rehomed through Rabbit Rescue Aotearoa once he has been:
✅ Desexed
✅ Vaccinated
✅ Microchipped and registered with NZCAR

🌟🐾 Meet Everest (Evie) – Our Energetic Sweetheart!🐾🌟

Introducing Evie, a small-breed, 9-month-old female Sharpei cross small dog with a big heart, lots of love to give, and endless playful energy.
📍 Location: East Auckland

Evie came into our care after being gifted to a 75-year-old woman as a companion. Unfortunately, she hadn’t received any basic training, so her hyperactivity, lack of potty training, and playful destruction of furniture made her a bit too much to handle.

She has now been trained and thriving beautifully.

💛 Personality:
Evie is bright, affectionate, and full of energy. She loves cuddles, enjoys being close to her people, and will happily follow you everywhere. She can be a little nippy when excited, but she’s learning quickly with structure, training, and patience.

She thrives on activity and needs daily walks or runs to burn off her energy. Evie is currently being trained alongside other dogs, cats, and small animals to develop her social skills and learn good boundaries.

She’s a fast learner and responds well to attention, routine, and praise.
