Welcome Dr Elliot!

Today, we’re delighted to welcome our newest veterinarian, Dr Elliot Hill, to the clinic! 🎉

Elliot has been a vet for 8 years and completed his veterinary studies in Bristol, England. He particularly enjoys consulting and getting to know our wonderful clients and their beloved animals. 🐶🐱🐓❤️

When he’s not at the clinic, Elliot enjoys getting outdoors — especially skiing, hiking and camping. 🏔️⛺️

A little walk can mean a lot!
After their procedure, when it’s safe to do so, giving dogs the opportunity to get outside is an important part of their inpatient care. A gentle walk allows them to sniff, explore, stretch their legs and have a much-needed toilet break — providing both physical and mental enrichment while they recover. 💕

🎓 Celebrating an incredible achievement! 🐾

We’re incredibly proud of Rhi, our Head Surgical Nurse, who has recently completed her Advanced Veterinary Nurse Certificate in Anaesthesia after a year of dedicated study.

This advanced qualification builds on her already extensive surgical nursing experience and covers areas including advanced patient monitoring, mechanical ventilation, blood gas assessment, and developing anaesthetic plans for patients with more complex needs, including geriatric, brachycephalic, diabetic, and renal patients.

Rhi’s new skills will allow her to work even more closely alongside our veterinary team when planning anaesthesia, helping tailor each patient’s anaesthetic and pain management plan to their individual needs and health conditions.

Just as importantly, she’ll be sharing her knowledge with the rest of our nursing team!
We’re so proud of the commitment Rhi has shown to her professional development and to continually improving the care we provide to our patients. ❤️

❤️ Fear Free Visits Start at Home ❤️

We're proud that all our staff are Fear Free certified and now we're busy working towards becoming a Fear Free Certified Practice too.

Did you know that helping your pet feel relaxed at the vet starts before they even leave the house?

🐱 Make the carrier a familiar, happy place
🧀 Practice gentle handling, touch their more sensitive areas such as paws and ears, and reward with treats
🐶 Make car trips positive
🧸Bring their favourite treats, toys, or blankets to appointments
🚗 Keep the journey calm and secure

And if your pet is nervous, please tell us! ❤️ We can slow things down, give them time to settle, and adjust our approach to help them feel safe.

For some pets, pre-visit medication can also make a huge difference so ask about our Calm Cat or Dog Kits if you think your pet might need extra help feeling safe.

🐱 **It’s not just for dogs… we can do cats too!** 🐾

We recently performed a **laparoscopic spey on this gorgeous girl** ❤️

Laparoscopic speys (or "lap speys") are a minimally invasive alternative to traditional surgery, using small incisions and specialised equipment. And while they're often associated with dogs, **our feline patients can benefit from them too!**
