🐾🐕 Dog Fathers Weekend!

This weekend, we’re celebrating our fathers and our dog fathers — the men who show up with love, loyalty, and a pocket full of treats.

And we would like to take a moment to celebrate the dog father behind our small family run business - Alex.

Alex is the raw dog food maker, natural treat creator, seller of wholesome nz made dog products, and lover of every dog breed under the sun.

He’s rarely seen without dog‑themed attire (even in production), and while both Dave’s humans joke about who is Dave’s “spare human,” in our family.

The bond between a man and his dog is undeniably real. It’s why Alex takes such a genuine care when making and selecting ingredients for your dog’s health and happiness.

When he isn’t crafting healthy raw dog food and natural treats, you’ll find him adventuring with Dave, at Our Wee Shop on Saturdays or spending Sundays at The Clevedon Village Farmers Market , connecting with customers, chatting with dogs, and catching up with his stall‑holder family.

And yes — if you’ve ever thought Dave was the human in the business… you’re not alone.

Luckily, Alex has great recall to the name “Dave”.

Dave’s 9–5… he tumbles out of bed, wags his way to the kitchen, and dives into a natural bowl of food to fuel his ambition — because Dave the Dog doesn’t just wake up, he needs to shows up.

Paw‑stretch, shake‑off, and BOOM — he’s on the job, treat‑testing, supervising the humans, and making sure every batch of raw goodness is worthy of his fur fam.

That’s the life of a true Pawtron.

Out on the streets for deliveries, the city traffic’s jumpin’, and Dave’s humans are in full production — mixing, making, packing, and prepping the freshest and best natural dog food in Auckland.

Happy International Dog Day!

A day to cherish, celebrate, and thank our four‑legged, tail‑wagging besties for the joy, loyalty, mischief, and magic they bring into our lives all year round.

To our customers that moved overseas like Buster the Schnauzer, who worked as an apprentice in our early days alongside Dave, you’re part of our story and always will be.

To our international dog family — Fara in Scotland and Peanut in England — we’re thinking of you today.

And today, we honour the beautiful life of Ceilidh from Scotland — the sassy diva of a poodle who worked hard until nearly 15 and yesterday decided it was her time to follow a fellow diva to the other side - like Dolly Parton you truly knew how to work a crowd (for treats and pats always)

You will be truly missed but never forgotten.

Thank you to the dogs, the office dogs, the mischievous dogs, the wise old souls, the chaos creators, and the cuddle providers — you keep it real, you bring the joy, and you make your humans’ worlds just that little bit more special
